The next day, bright and early, Kyla, Blare, David, and Sam meet for a morning jog. As they make their way through town a few business owners wave to them, as they open their stores. Sam looks behind her to see Josh and Clare jogging slowly together.
"Somethings never change!" Sam comments.
Kyla and David look back at the couple.
"I am glad you all took our advice and kept up this routine." David says with a smile.
"Yeah! You did not want to end up like Chaz and I!" Kyla adds.
"What happened?!" Sam asks.
"Let's just say Chaz and I were hating life after our first mega evolution." Kyla replies. "If it wasn't for Blare and David, we would have been miserable and helpless for months!"
Sam looks at Blare and David. "Oh come on! That just fed my curiosity!"
David shakes his head. "She will share her personal experiences in her own time."
Blare nods. "Just understand that we set you all on a better path than we took."
Sam rolls her eyes. "Fine.."
They continue to the edge of town where they stop.
"This is where I have to head back. As President, I can not assist any of you in obtaining a blank marble." David says, giving Kyla a hug.
"I understand. It is just nice to continue our runs as a group." Kyla says, giving David a quick kiss.
"Likewise, I guess we are splitting up. I call the beach in Clanwood City!" Blare says before running towards the water, calling out her Milotic, and leaping on her back.
"NO FAIR!!" Sam shouts after her.
Kyla shrugs. "Fine by me. I wanted a clear area anyways."
Sam looks out into the distance. "How about that first Island?"
Kyla nods. "That would be best." She says calling Chaz out.
Sam smiles. "Then I will take one of the islands further out." She pulls out a Pokeball and opens it. Out pops a female Charizard.
"Wow! You really did fantastic raising your Charizard! She looks very healthy!" Kyla says, walking around the female Charizard.
Sam smiles wide. "Her name is Jaz. She is like the best!"
Chaz jokingly imitates Kyla as he follows her around Jaz. However, as he gets behind Jaz, she slaps him in the face with her tail. Chaz rears back with a surprised growl. Jaz turns quickly to face him grunting at him before backing closer to Sam.
Sam chuckles nervously. "I probably should have mentioned she hates when other Pokemon get behind her. We had a bad battle with a Sandslash, back when we just got started. Now it is an instinctive defense reflex."
Chaz grunts to Jaz, shyly scratching the side of his face and apparently apologizing.
