Beyond Pokemon

Chapter 3. Unsatisfied

As Kyla continues down the path, she fills shaking on her belt. Just then Chaz pops out of his ball. He grunts a few times.

"Chaz! You can't keep doing that, you are going to scare people." Kyla says angerly.

Chaz continues to grunt.

"Are you trying to tell me why Snorlax is being weird around you?" Kyla asks.

Chaz turns and throws a few punches at the air, then turns again and does the same.

"He..... doesn't like that he was captured without a battle? More to the point, he wants to battle you?!" Kyla asks.

Chaz nods wildly.

"Does he realize you took out twenty or more Pokemon by yourself?!" Kyla asks, annoyed.

Chaz nods and flexes his arms.

"He doesn't stand a chance!!" Kyla exclaims

Chaz shrugs. 

"No, there is no maybe about it! You are a straight up dominator!! My brother saw to that, and that is why he never carried any other Pokeballs!!! That is why....." Kyla stops as she feels a tear slide down her cheek. She turns away from Chaz quickly.

Chaz looks sad as she stretches out his claw, but stops. 

Kyla whips the tear away quickly and turns back around with a fake smile. "Haven't exactly got that under control yet, sorry." Kyla puts her hands on her hips. "More importantly, Snorlax can wait, he is nowhere near your level."

Chaz clasps his claws together and then parts them quickly. 

"Yeah, he may eventually blow up at us, and he can learn the consequences for that action when that time comes." Kyla responds.

Chaz punches his open claw.

"Obviously." Kyla responds, with a sigh. "Maybe I should ask a behavioral expert."

Chaz nods quickly in response to this.

Kyla glares at him. "I am beginning think you think Professor Ivory is prettier than me." 

Chaz shakes his head, with a blush. 

"Right!!!!" Kyla turns and walks down the path.

Chaz follows quickly.

They continue on the path to a large, dome-like building on the north side of the island. It resembles an observatory, but the telescope has yet to be installed. Ivory sits, as she often does, on the roof of the observatory, sipping a tall glass of tea. She is oddly young for having long white hair, but she would explain it as being partially albino. She is still capable of getting a tan, which is evident from her browned skin. Her light green eyes search the horizon for any sign of movement.  She does this in hopes she will spot the ship bringing supplies to the island, more importantly, her telescope. However, no one has told her that the next one is not due in till the middle of next week, the same ship Joy will be leaving on.

"Ivory!" Kyla shouts.

Professor Ivory looks down, spotting the two of them. "KYLA! CHAZ!!!" She leaps to her feet and slides down an escape slide she had installed. Coming to a stop, on the ground, she runs up hugging Kyla and Chaz. "Thank God you have come, I was about to go crazy!"

Kyla pats her on the back. "It is nice to see you too, but we actually came because we need your help."

Chaz grunts.

"You have started building a team?!" Ivory says in shock.

"I keep forgetting you understand Chaz's grunts too." Kyla says, annoyed.
