Beyond Pokemon

Chapter 14. These Boots

Kyla looks around for a moment, thinking that she forgot something.

"What's wrong?" Blare asks.

"Where are those campers, we got that report of?" Kyla asks.

"No idea, they were not here when I got here yesterday morning. I just figured they moved on." Blare says. "Although, now that I think about it, the Eevees had evolved that morning also. Do you think they had something to do with that?"

"Random trainers evolving random wild Pokemon? That is beyond weird." Kyla says.

"No doubt! But what was their end game?" Blare asks.

"I guess we will have to ask them when we find them." Kyla replies. "I mean, it is not like they are doing anything bad, nor against the law."

"I am just curious, at this point." Blare says.

"Me too. I think we should get Ivory and Jenny together and work up a BOLO report." Kyla says.

"I'm sorry, a what?" Blare asks.

"A 'be on the look out' report." Kyla explains.

"Oh, now I feel stupid." Blare says.

"You are not the only one, I am sure." Kyla chuckles.

Kyla turns to the Eeveelutions. "You are on duty as of right now, I expect, if you need help, you will send one of you our way."

The Eevee nods and does a cute salute with his paw.

Kyla salutes back and hops on Chaz. "Blare, we really need to find you a flying type Pokemon."

"Could Chaz handle both of us, just this one time?" Blare asks.

Chaz nods.

Blare gently gets on Chaz's back and they take off to the observatory. Once they are almost to the observatory, they notice Ivory sitting in a chair out front. Once landed, they walk up to her.

"Are you waiting on us?" Kyla asks.

"I might be." Ivory smiles as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"Why?" Blare asks.

"I saw you coming." Ivory replies.

"Do you have clear images of the 'campers' from yesterday?" Kyla asks.

"Kyla, sweety, I have clear images of everything I care to keep track of. By the way, congratulations on the Lapras, he was a feisty one." Ivory chuckles.

"She, actually. And thank you." Kyla says. "To business thou, I need those images to put in a BOLO report."

"Have they broken some kind of law?" Ivory asks, getting up and leading Kyla and Blare into the observatory.

Kyla, Chaz, and Blare follow as they talk.

"I am sure I could find something to charge them with, but for the moment, I would just like to talk to them." Kyla responds.

Ivory goes to a control panel and begins typing. Images pop up on the screen, displaying clear views of the campers' faces. Ivory downloads the images onto a thumb drive and hands it to Kyla. "Just out of curiosity, how is the training going?"

"It is too early to tell, today was the first day." Kyla says, taking the thumb drive. "Thank you."

"Well then, tell Jenny hello for me!" Ivory smiles.

Kyla, Chaz, and Blare walk down the path to the Police Station. On the way they are passed by a group of three men and two women walking towards the downtown district. One of the women glares at Chaz as they pass. They reach the Police Station just in time to hear the tail end of a conversation.
