A/N it's me again! I'm back! Seeing as I just finished Dirty Little Whore, I'm now going to focus on Secrets and this story, until they are finished so I can begin writing Time Traveller's Daughter, and a new one which I will probably post Chapter One too after this, called You Can't Save Me, No One Can.
RACHEL'S POV
"Just give me a clue!" I whined for what felt like the billionth time today. It had been 4 days since mine and Louis' romantic meal which, to put it bluntly, went tits up. Since then, I've had two more radio and chemo treatments, both of which Louis came with me too.
The doctors said that the tumour was getting smaller, and that theree was a higher chance of me surviving longer than the month I was first given, but only by about five. To be honest, me and Lou would take anything we could get right now. Anything to give him hope.
He tries to hide it, but I can tell he's shit scared about loosing me. Every time I go in for my treatment, his grip on my hand tightens as if he's trying to protect me from the cancer or something. He was always became upset whenever I brought up the cancer, as if it was something I should be ashamed of, but I wasn't. It was just another thing I wanted to tick off of my 'beaten' list, when, deep down, I knew that would never happen.
"No! I told you already, it was a surprise!" Louis smirked as I huffed back against the car seat. Last night, he told me he was taking me away for a few days, saying that he had some big surprise waiting for me, but it was too far away for us to go as a day trip so we were staying.
Louis always worried me when he mentioned surprises. As a surprise to Niall, and to Emily, he bought him a mankini as a 'present', aka, something to take the piss out of him for.
"Please?" I batted my eyelashes at him, giving him the puppy dog eyes.
"Don't do the face, Smith"
"Well tell me then!" I yelled at him like I always did as a child. I accidentally dropped my phone on the floor during my little temper tantrum. I bent down to pick it back up, looking over to see Louis' eyes brighten up. "What? Lou, what is it?" I followed his gaze to meet a sign that read
Doncaster - 5 miles
"Oh...my...God...Am I about to meet your family?!" I screamed, half excited, half nervous.
"Yeah you are babe! Remember? You said to me a couple weeks ago that you've never been introduced to any of your boyfriends' parents, so I wanted to be the first, and I hope, the last" he gave me his cute little smile that always made me smile. I leant across, and gave him a small peck in the lips
"I love you, d'you know that?"
"I love you too, baby" I smiled to myself at the thought of finally being able to meet at least one of my boyfriends' parents, and I was so happy that it was going to be Louis'.
I'd heard so many stories about his mum and sisters. He absolutely adored them, especially since his parents split up. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks
"What if they don't like me?! You haven't brought any girls home with you since Eleanor-"
"So?" Louis looked confused at me. Was he seriously not seeing where I was going with this?!
"What if they don't like me?! I know they would only have to put up with me for a few more weeks, but still, I want to make an impression! What if I argue with your mum? Or your sisters hate me? Oh my God, I can't do this. Nope, I've changed my mind. Turn around, they don't need to meet me, it's totally okay-"
"Rachel, honey? Calm down. They'll love you, you know why?" I shook my head as we pulled up to a red light "because I do" he kissed me passionately on the lips, pulling away as the lights turned to amber, then green
