"Would you accept or decline this call from State Jail?" The recorded voice said.
I sighed, "Accept."
"Autumn, I took the deal, I'm getting out," Jett said.
I sighed, another psycho is coming back, "When?"
"Next week, but it was on one condition, I had to snitch on somebody and it was Scarlet."
"What do you mean 'snitch'? Don't they already know about the roof thing?" I asked.
"No, I told the guards that she was shanking people when we had an hour out of our cells on the other side of the facility," she explained.
"Don't they have cameras everywhere?"
"Yeah, but she went to the dim lit part of it."
"What are they gonna do to her now that you told them?"
"They're coming back for her, the police," she said.
"I told them yesterday, so maybe today."
I was outside on the patio since it was lunchtime and kept my voice hushed. I spotted Scarlet sitting at a table with some people. She was talking and laughing.
"Today?" I smirked, I knew Jett could hear the amusement in my voice and I took a quick glance at Scarlet and continued, "that would be great."
"I gotta go, bye," she hung up.
I smirked, Scarlet was going back, but Jett was coming back. I didn't trust any of them. One thing about it was, when the police come for her, she was going to think it was me and if I tell her it wasn't me, she wouldn't believe it.
Two police cars loudly screeched to a stop, causing everyone to look. Four officers came out and charged towards the patio. One of them stopped and spoke to Tianne, "Have you seen Scarlet Jenson?"
"Uhhh, umm, I-," he cut her off.
"If you lie to me, you'll be in jail too," he said softly, trying not to intimidate her.
"She's over there," she pointed to the table where she was at.
He and the other officers went over to her table, once she saw they were coming her way, she got up and ran. The officers were on her tail as she ran inside the main building. The students ran to go see what would happen next. I went too.
When I was inside the building, Scarlet was on the second floor with her foot on the railing, preparing to jump. The officers had their tasers out, ready to use them.
"Don't move, Scarlet! Stay where you are!" They ordered.
"It's not like I can go anywhere else," she said in a 'duh' tone, even though she tried to lighten the mood, she tried had one foot on the railing, making everyone including me, anxious.
The teachers rushed out of the lounge and watched with the rest of us on the first floor.
"Don't come any closer or I'll jump!" She yelled, the students and teachers gasped with their hands over their mouths.
"Put the tasers down!" She ordered. They started to put them down and she said, "Slowly!" They put them down slowly and laid them on the floor and had their hands at their sides.
"Why are you here?" She asked the officers coldly.
"We got a call from the prison saying you shanked the inmates," one of them answered.
"So I'm going back?"
"Yes."
"I never did anything, I never shanked anyone, hell, I don't even know how to make one."
"We got a call."
"Why?? I didn't do anything, I served my time quietly and I haven't done anything since I got out, this makes no sense," she was getting irritated, her foot was still on the rail.
"Scarlet, you are under arrest-," she cut them off.
"With what evidence?? You choose to believe a pyshco egg bucket in jail with no proof, no nothing?? You've got to me kidding me," she chuckled.
The officers stepped closer and she said, "I'm going to jump if you take another step."
"Scarlet, don't do it, girl!" Somone yelled from the crowd, catching everyone's attention, including her. I glanced and saw the officer run towards her, but she caught him by stabbing him with a pen in his arm, making him clutch his arm and hiss with pain.
The other officers charged towards her and she jump from the second floor, landing into the sea of students. The people she landed on put her down and she ran out of the building.
The police hurried down the steps with the crowd following them to the outside of the school.
Scarlet was nowhere to be found. I didn't know she ran that fast.
This time Jett caused the trouble, not me. Even though I had nothing to do with this, I knew all of us had unfinished business.
