Chapter 19

Ririka was looking for you. She just finished doing all the work for the council since her sister was too busy angering the clan and such. She wanted to have a sleepover again since she was so tired and she knew that her parents could care less wherever she was with Kirari challenging everyone.

She looked for you everywhere but you were nowhere to be found. She looked at the cameras and everything seemed normal until she caught a glimpse of the hall 27 monitor. You were leaning against the door, seemingly interested in the conversation inside of the room before you tensed and shut your mouth with your good arm.

The bastard was inside the room wasn't he?

She quickly looked at the cameras only to find it out of order and just as she was about to rewind the tape for the hall monitor, the data in it suddenly disappeared.

"Damn it" she cursed as she was close to finding out who the bastard was but the guy was two steps ahead.

She suddenly remembered your distress as she quickly ran out of the school in search for you. You were much more important than anything right now.

She was about to head for your house when she heard a faint voice in the direction of the forest and her eyes widened.

"Wait Walter, I have to go check something" she told the driver as she ran towards the forest in search for you. Her cheek got bruised by a branch as she looked around frantically trying to hear or see you.

She heard a whimper from a direction followed by a shaky "M- mom where are you?"

It was you.

She ran towards the direction and she saw you on the ground, shaking as you mumbled incoherent words and shut your eyes forcefully.

You were having a panic attack.

"Y/n??"

Ririka sat infront of you before putting her hand on your shoulder and you surprisingly didn't yank it away or tense. Your breathing was getting irregular and you were shaking so much, she was getting so worried.

"What's happening to you??" She said as she tried to pry you off from your position to properly try to control your breathing but you wouldn't budge. She kept repeating your name softly yet loudly to try to get your attention but you wouldn't budge.

You suddenly looked at her dead in the eyes.

Your eyes, they were so hollow and broken, this wasn't you. Your tears streamed down your face as ou looked at her with fear, trying to speak.

"P- please don't hurt me!"

Her heart broke, what happened in your past that made you like this or was this that fucker's doing.

"I- I'm not here to hurt you!" She said as she held your hands as you were pulling away from her as more tears dropped from your eyes. Ririka felt like crying too, it was so painful to see you like this and be so powerless and can't help.

She was so useless, she can't even help you when you've done so much for her.

"I- I'm sorry y/n-" she said as her voice started to break but she held it in, she had to be strong for you, that was the least she could do.

She hugged you and you stopped shaking for a moment and she looked at you.

Your eyes didn't look that broken anymore as you whispered, "R- Ririka"

She was about to say something when you suddenly passed out, she stared in horror as she tried to see if your heart was still beating and luckily, it still was. She for once didn't panic as she carried you bridal style towards the limo and told Walter immediately to head to the Watanabe residence.

She bid the driver goodbye as she carried you to the door and she knocked, impatiently waiting for someone to answer. Panic was starting to erupt from her again as she looked at your troubled unconscious face.

The door opened and she saw Dr. Watanabe, the woman took one look at you and immediately let you in and out you in your room. She examined everything without a word as Ririka stood by and watched you, a single tear rolled down her cheeks.

After everything, the doctor looked at her, "What happened?"

"S- she seemed to overhear something from a- a room and then she ran towards the forest where I found her"

Ririka took a deep breath as she tried to not mind the image of you shaking in fear and the lol in your eyes.

"She- she was shaking and silently screaming, her eyes- h- her eyes l- looked d- different and... And she kept muttering words that I couldn't hear"

The look on Dr. Watanabe's face told Ririka that the older woman knew what happened and why she was like that.

"Did... Did she look for her mom?" The doctor said and Ririka's eyes widened before she nodded and the woman let out a shaky breath as she held onto the clipboard tighter.

"Dr. Watanabe? If- if it's not overstepping boundaries, may I know why she acted like that?"

Kanna looked at the girl infront of her and she felt the overwhelming feeling of sadness and guilt just by thinking about what happened to you in the past, it was not her place to share.

"It's something that happened to her in the past, but I won't go into detail since I don't think y/n would like me to be the one telling you"

Ririka nodded as she grabbed a hair and sat next to you. She reached out to hold your hand, but she retracted it, afraid that something might happen.

"Go on, it's okay" she heard Dr. Watanabe say and she nodded before hesitantly taking your hand in hers, it still felt the same but it felt a bit cold.

She looked at you worriedly and without thinking, she kissed the back of your hand. The older woman in the room smiled at the interaction, the platinum blonde card for you greatly, she would be great for you.

Isamu arrived half an hour later and Dr. Watanabe filled him in and he gave Ririka who was still holding your hand, a small nod and she smiled a little. After a few moments of silence, Isamu cleared his throat.

" Ririka, did someone in your school order metal rods used for burning or so many praying mantises?" He asked and Ririka tilted her head in confusion as she tried to recall the files. Her eyes widened at a sudden memory.

"Ikishima said that she saw someone carrying metal rods from the basement!" She said as she opened her phone and hurriedly called Midari.

"Hello? Vice President? I already checked the room and no one was there, nothing suspicious too"

"Okay, thank you for the confirmation, i remember you telling me about someone carrying metal rods, who was it?" She asked and she heard a gasp from the phone

"Is that your real voice Vice President?! It's so dark and intimidating" She forgot to put on her mask, damn it.

"Nevermind that, who was carrying the metal rods Ikishima?" She said darkly as she was getting impatient and Isamu's eyes widened, so this was the deep voice you were talking about.

"Oh yeah that would be..."

Ririka closed her eyes, she was finally going to kill the bastard.

"Me"
