Chapter Two - Dawn is Approaching

A/N - POV may change but I doubt I'll do First person except on special occasion so the POV is just kinda person centric so just an FYI - Laters, Your Author - Remus

POV - Naruto

Naruto laid quietly in his hospital bed just waking up from his mindspace. He didn't know how he got here but he knew a few things, the overly sterile smell of the hospital, several people standing over him, and that no matter how much their mouths moved he couldn't hear them.

It was frustrating him to no end. Why couldn't he hear anything, was this them just being mean to him again. He teared up and looked around him to see all who was there, of course the Third Hokage was there, so was three people he didn't quite recognize and three ANBU who he'd seen around the Hokage tower.

The adults in the room didn't seem to realize he was awake yet so he just laid there his mind going numb, not really having anything to focus on he heard a small voice in the back of his head.

"Hey kiddo, can you hear me?"

Not wanting to seem absolutely crazy the young boy closed his eyes and answered back as if he was talking to himself in his head

'Daddy? Is that you?'

"Sure is Naru"

"I'm here too"

'Kura-chan!'

Chuckling at the nickname Kurama glared at Minato who looked ready to die laughing

"Oh stop laugh 'Daddy', We did have a purpose for trying to come through"

'p-purpose?'

"Thats right, purpose, it means we had a reason for trying to talk again so soon"

Biting his lip to hold back a whimper Naruto answered back hesitantly

'Did I do something wrong? Am I in trouble?'

"Of course not kit, but I do have some bad news"

"You lost your hearing, your deaf"

'But i hear you guys! and you said i wasn't dead daddy!'

A soft chuckle could be heard from a sad Minato

"Not dead sweetheart, Deaf. Means you can't hear anything"

"The reason you can hear us is because we're inside your head"

With a soft oh Naruto decided to open his eyes, he didn't want to talk to them anymore. Looking up he saw the adults standing over him, the lady with blond hair was touching his stomach her hand covered in green chakra. He didn't like how close she was to him so he decided to start kicking his legs. Realizing he was awake the adults backed off, the second they did he stopped kicking. He didn't like the adults, they got too close.

"Kit, Kit we need to talk still please stop blocking us out"

'No your meanies and confusing'

"Naru that statement was complete child cuteness but Kurama is right, we do need to talk"

'Don't wanna'

"We want to teach you how to use your chakra to hear"

"First we need you to come back to your mindspace okay?"

Naruto looked around the room hesitantly, the adults seemed to be talking while the ANBU just seemed to stare into space at the walls. Deciding it couldn't hurt to go there just for a little while he laid completely still till he felt the familiar tingles of his brain going fuzzy. Eyes closed he waited till the bright lights of the hospital room turned into the bright lights of he sun filling the sewer like maze of his mind.

Chapter Two is complete, it is a bit of a shorter chapter but it's also basically a small filler. Hopefully the story picks up from here if it hasn't already grabbed your attention. I have big plans but I'm also a small enby who has school but other than that no life.
