POV - Naruto

Naruto Namikaze woke up early as he did every morning though this morning wasn't like every other. As he sat up he ran a hand through his blonde hair that he kept in the same style as his fathers, standing up and crossing the room he set his hands on the window sill as he watched the dawn through the open window. The sky a golden orange with red streaks, pinks, purples and blue twinging the outer edges signaling the blue skies of the day to come. Dark grey clouds with gold bottoms litter the endless sky.

With a half smile he made his way to his closet to find an outfit for the day. His eyes ran over all his clothes, gaze lingering on the orange jumpsuit he wore before he was found by his family. Closing his eyes to block out the unwanted memories he picked out black ANBU pants and one of his fathers old blue turtle necks. Looking in the mirror he sighed softly, Baa-chan was going to cry, he looked like a spitting image of his father though younger.

As he walked down stairs he heard the three gasps. Tsunade as presumed did start crying, so did Jiraiya and Orochimaru too. To them they were seeing Minato again alive and walking down the stairs to them. Bombarded in a bear hug by the three Sannin who raised and trained him these 8 years. Smiling softly he patted their backs and slipped out of the hug.

"Guy I'm going to be late and according to records you already have me starting 3 years late."

"Oh hush child, your going to pass in a year and we all know it so why force you to go for 4 years and graduate in one? Besides now you'll be with kids you're own age"

"Always the mother huh Baa-chan?" Naruto smirked and rolled his eyes as he grabbed an apple for breakfast on the road

"I'm not that old kid!"

"Just go with it Tsunade you know he never changed his nicknames"

"Hit the nail on the head Pervy Sage"

With sighs from the elders Naruto smiled and pecks them both on the cheeks.

"I'll be home before dark"

"You better be or I'll send my snakes to find you"

"As always Hebi"

"Must you call me a snake?"

"Always"

With that exchange Naruto set off, out the compound and down the road from the mountain to the village. He showed his pass to get into the village and entered the gates, long trek through town and to the academy. Outside in the school yard where many heirs gathered waiting for class to start, many sat in groups and talked.

Sitting on the swing and keeping to himself till all the kids where called into school. He was the last to enter the classroom. In front of him stood his sensei for the year who had to do a double take to make sure a young fourth Hokage hadn't just entered his classroom.

"Naruto Uzumaki I presume?"

Forcing on a large smile he nods and laughs, the sannin had warned him he'd do better if people thought he was stupid, that they wouldn't bother a dumb kid.

"Believe it!"

He internally groaned as he forced out his mothers verbal tic.

"Can you introduce yourself to the class?"

"Naruto Uzumaki! I totally love ramen and my family! I don't dislike much and my dream is to be Hokage!"

As he was directed to his seat beside the Uchiha heir Naruto mentally picked apart his own introduction. Firstly he preferred to use his fathers last name not his mothers, ramen was good but he couldn't eat it more than once or twice a week, his likes were more than ramen and his family he like training and reading and beating his uncle in shogi. Dislikes an even longer list, loud people, people who wanted to stay ignorant, being lied too, being underestimated and being judged. His dream was to be Hokage and restore his fathers Honor to the village.

While mentally complaining the lessons had started and a pop quiz was being given on weapon performance. Standing up with the class and walking to the training ground he sighed he'd have to fake stupid though he was proficient with his weapons. As he watched the class to estimate where to put his skill he noticed a few interesting characters and their scores.

Choji Akimichi seemed on the shyer side but he an average score 7/10 Kunai, 6 /10 Shuriken and 7/10 smoke bomb. His fighting styled seemed more jutsu related. Red swirls on his cheeks and his clans symbol on his shirt.

Neji Hyuuga was cocky but not as much as others he'd seen today. His score 10/10 Kunai and Shuriken wasn't a surprise he came from one of the main clans in the village. Smoke bombs came out as a 8/10 showing he didn't use them much. His long hair and purple tinted white eyes told him he was a Hyuuga before his name was announced.

Shikamaru Nara was his favorite so far, his score was 0/10 on all three since on his turn he laid down and watched clouds. Black hair tied in a pineapple style pony tail his half jacket holding an overly simplified version of the Naru clan symbol on the sleeves.

Naruto walked over as it was his turn and tried to simplify his skill, rolling up his sleeves to his elbows he took the test and just better than he wanted too 8/10 Kunai, 8/10 Shuriken and 7/10 smoke bombs.

First day at the academy and he already had every one believing his lie though he couldn't say the words from the others didn't hurt. He already knew who he didn't like and who he may or maynot have a crush on though he would never admit it not even to himself. Today was one hell of a ride and he'd have to do this everyday for a year.

Groaning to himself Naruto walked home after school ignoring the looks he got as he left the village. Walking to the Namikaze compound he smiled softly that dinner was waiting and his family was being his family. Two drunks and a snake at the table waiting to welcome the real him home.
