When I finish my Magimeter test. Tristan announce that they want to test the capabilities of the student. So, they will know when and what they will teach to their student. The Fighters (CQC) , Rogue, Mages, and assassins go to there respected place. Though when I say respected place. The place is just the open-field in the back of the school but putting a big distance. So that they will not disturb each other.
"Alright, young fighters, Pick your partner" Reece said
The students did as they told. I was gonna go to Fumiko and ask her to be my pair but there is someone who got to ask her first then just when I want to look around to get an available partner. There is a man who approach me.
He has a black hair, a pale skin and he really look like a young knight
"Hey, Be my partner " he said arrogantly. Too bad, his attitude was a turn off.
"What if I refuse?" I ask him
"Hmm, you have no right to refuse for I am the friend of a twin Prince and Princess of Astaeseon Kingdom.I am the son of Leonard von Garnier. I am a son of Marquis and the Twins future personal knight.Darciel von Garnier. Remember that! You Pheasant"
I listen at his words and to be honest. I was quite amuse. I was about to retort when Reece called us.
"Hey, you two...Stop talking when Im talking.You two will be the first to fight"
"Yes" I replied
"Well, then. Good luck" Darciel said with a malice in his voice. I didn't respond instead follow after him and stood on the opposite side of the battlefield.
"Girly, dont worry. I'll go easy on you. Dont want to hurt a girl after all. Haha" He said
I just stared at him and Reece started the countdown.
"Ready in 3...2...1——FIGHT!!"
When the fight start I draw my sword in my waist. Darciel did the same and lounge at me. Is he fast? Yes, faster than average but not as fast as me. Our sword clash while he is on attack and I was on defense.He attack,and attack and attack, he also uses one of his skill but every time he attack, He always miss, I either dodge or deflect his attacks.He pull back and readying himself once again. He lounge and slash his sword toward me diagonally to the right, but he miss. He was beginning to get desperate. Taking advantage of his momentum he strike horizontally. Which I took advantage of, when she slashes his sword horizontally. I took that chance to duck and uses the hilt of my sword to put a blow on his stomach. I hold back, I dont want to sent him flying after all.He kneel to the ground while rubbing to the spot where I hit him.But, even if I hold back.It was enough for him to gasp and had a hard time breathing.
"Ugh..Haa...Haa...Ha...Shit!"
"You okay?" I ask with no emotion
He only glared at me in return. I look at Reece who seem to be in shock. It was the same for my classmate and Fumiko too but after a while she recovered and cough because of her action the others also snapped back in their trance. The student starting to murmur and talk to the battle they just witness. Apparently, this man here is pretty popular despite his attitude. He is known for his skill and looks. They didnt expect him to be defeated in within a minute and without even scratching his opponent, much less a girl.
"Ahh, I'll go get Miss Aiden" Reece inform us but before he could. I stop him. "What?! Your fellow student is hurt"...I only look at him and without a word go to Darciel .
"Tch" I heard Reece snickered. He is probably afraid that the SON OF A MARQUIS GOT HURT.Reece get Miss Aiden while I go to the boy who's wincing in pain. When I got closer he said with a glare.
"Wh..a.t?" He said between pain.
"Weak. If your a man stop wincing pathetically. I only even use 1/4 of my strength, so, I doubt it will hurt that much." I muttered enough for him to hear me
He look at me with disbelief but before she said anything. I pointed my palm at him and without saying anything. I cast a healing spell. The spell last for 5 seconds and Darciel glow in that 5 seconds. He look like he was being bless by a goddess except Koharu was just healing him.Reece and Aiden witness this scene along with the Fighters and Support Magic Students. When I finish I look around at My sorrounding who seem to stared at me with disbelief. I shrugged them off then offer a hand to Darciel which he accepted.
"Amazing, your healing spell I mean. You didn't say a chant nor a word and its effectiveness is better than normal. I also feel my energy coming back the moment you heal me and I emit light.Thank you very much." Darciel praises me, though that didn't make me happy.
"Dont mention it" I just replied emotionlessly.
I was about to go when Aiden stop me.
"Wait" I turn back and tilted my head to Miss. Aiden.The other teachers and student also came to check what the fuss was about and Miss Aiden ask me.
"If you know such spell, and can cast magic without chanting or saying a word. Why didn't you become a mage?"
I thought about for a moment "I want to be the one who protect, the one who will be her shield when things go wrong.. I wasnt trying to be hero or to be cool.Hell, if worlds burn and crush..I dont care.So long the people I cared about was happy and safe...I gave a promise afterall" When I said that, I gave Fiona a glance.Which in respond she gave a slight blush.
"Waittt!! Are yaa sayin' this chibi her can use magic?" Ezra exclaimed.
Again? I thought in my mind.Instead I replied with:
"Well, I never said I couldn't"
"Well anyway.You said you take up swordmanship because you want to protect but mages can protect too y'know"
"The one I wanted to protect is a mage. Besides, I've taken interest in swordmanship"
"I see" Ezra just replied and tap my shoulder. The teachers and students go back to their respective places and resume to whatever they were doing.
We then resume the fight When it was Fumiko's turn. She finish her battle in less than a minute. The opponent provoked her after all.Of course, Fumiko,Mayumi, Akane and Fiona did a great at showing their capabilities.
The day end with a surprise, dumbfounded and frustrated boys. They couldn't believe that the girls just dominated and defeated them without a sweat.
