Chapter 17 [4 Major-Lands]

I forgot to mention but its been 1 month and 2 weeks since I've come to this academy. Now, our first mission has arrived. Its a 3-day mission. In this past months, it's been nothing but lecture, training and practice.

We are in the open-field area. Tristan standing in front of us and speak the details of the mission.

"Attention my dear Students! You've worked hard this past weeks. Now is the time to show your growth. Show us that your hardwork bore fruit"

"Yes" many agreement of the students resounded

"Good. Now, I'll be giving you details for the mission. Students, there will be changes in your first test. Your test will be a 5-day mission. It was decided the other day that your first destination of your mission was Mt. Alvis also known as The Land of Beginning."

When Tristan mention the Mt. Alvis. The students started whispering to each other.

I even hear some whispering "seriously?"

"Waaa, first mission and its gonna be hard" "

The path to Mt. Alvis has many C rank monster right?"

When the students begun murmuring Instructor Tristan raise his right hand to silence the students and then spoke "Ehem, you will go to Mt. Alvis. I dont care which route you take but you must get there before Day 5 ended. As you all know, Mt. Alvis was sorrounded by the 4 major-lands and when you pass those lands. You still have to conquer the Shenei a.k.a land of the dead."

Instructor Tristan pause and roam his head to see the faces of the students and then continue

"The Land of the Dead, Shenei, was  compose of C+ rank monster and sometimes B-rank monster. We decided the Mt. Alvis to be the first destination because we believe that it will serve as good experience. The Mt. Alvis was known as The land of beginning for a reason. The adventurer who go there always has a good beginning of there journey. It also has a fantastic and breathtaking scenery in the top of Mt. Alvis."

While Instructor told us about this Mt. Alvis I begun to ponder.

"Hmm" I pondered "What are the Four Major lands?" I unconsciously ask. Fumiko who hear my pondering reply.

"Seriously? Where are you from?" Or more like she retort

"Ah, um Sorry" I replied while my head down cast. Seeing this Fumiko sigh and explain.

"The Four Major-lands are the Eyllwe, Adarlan, Wendlyn, and Terrasen. I'll explain more later. For now lets listen to Instructor Tristan"

"Right"

When Fumiko said those words. I listen to Tristan once again.

" In short, your mission will start once you were out of the border of the Astaeseon Kingdom, Chander, and it will end when you got to Mt. Alvis. The Loki will track your monster kills as a group. The Loki also has a new feature install to know your points. You can see your points at the front of the Loki we gave you."

When Instructor Tristan told us the new feature. The students look at the Loki the Instructor gave them yesterday. I also look at mine and it was 00000

"As you all can see, you all have a
Zero points yet. Your points can be gain by killing monsters. The points will vary base on how strong the monster you killed. You atleast need 100 points" When Instructor Tristan explain how many point we get when we defeat a F, E, D, C - Rank Monster he added.

"Be sure to remember what you learn and arrive at Mt. Alvis safe and sound. We, the instructor will be there first and wait for you students. We will be giving you a ride until the border. Thats all." Tristan concluded

When Tristan finish what he wanted to say. The students started talking about their plans to defeat the possible monster they encounter. It is the same for us and while we were discussing. We heard Instructor Ezra's voice.

"Oiii, shrimps. We only have 5 carriages. So, The Group Rabbit, Fox, Phoenix, Tiger, and the Raven will be the first five. The rest wait here till we drop the first 5 outside the borderline and we will come back for the rest." Instructor Ezra shouted to inform the students.

(AN: There group has a name and Fumiko's group get the Lion)

"Seems like we still have to wait. Haa" [Akane]

"Yeah" [Fiona]

"This is perfect. I will explain to you what you needed to know until they finish dropping off those first five then. Koharu you listen carefully." [Fumiko]

When Fumiko said that. I paid all my attention to her and then she begun.

"Ehem, Our mission will be to get to the Mt. Alvis safely while defeating monsters on the way. The path to Mt. Alvis was hard but it was still a path for beginners like us. The monster that we will be facing is mostly C-Rank and some will probably B-Rank. Anyway, to get to Mt. Alvis we have a four choices of path. The four major lands. "

"First, The Eyllwe, the path of green. It is probably the easiest and probably the land where you will be facing a pack of monsters meaning the land of Eyllwe was a path where your stamina and magical energy will be tested and it is also a path where you can rack points"

"We also have the Adarlan, the path of blue. The path of Adarlan was always calm. However, when a monster show up. It was most likely a quick one. The Adarlan has many lakes sorrounding it and the monster living in the land and water in Adarlan was also quick. So, in Adarlan your speed will be the one that will be tested. It also include your reaction speed. Let me add that the Adarlan was cold at night."

"Then there is Wendlyn, the land of red. The path to Wendlyn was a path where your endurance will be tested. It was said that the path to Wendlyn is a dessert. It is blazing hot in the day and cold in the night. It is probably the hardest route out of the 4 major lands. There is rarely a monster showing up in the Wendlyn but when one show up it will most likely B rank and even worst A rank like a worm sand"

[Worm Sand (A++ Rank) - A monster who live in the dessert. The monster was hound up in the sand. It devour anything if the Worm Sand feel anyone or someone's presence. It can crawl up and down in the sand. It is 6m wide and 12m long. The appearance was just blending into the sorrounding]

"Lastly there is Terrasen, the land of Brown. The land to Terrasen was uneven and hard to take. It also have huge trees compare to Eyllwe. The trees was lush and thick like the trees was all blocking the sunlight. The land of Terrasen is where your strength will be tested. The monster in Terrasen was mostly C rank like orcs, goblin and neven. In Terrasen not just your combat strength will be tested but also your stamina. The Terrasen has an uneven land and because of this stamina was also required."

"I understand. If we pass this we still need to pass the Shenei right?" I ask Miko for confirmation

"Yea—" she answered but was cut off because the carriage has arrived.

"The rest of the students! Get on!"

"Yes" the remaining students answered in sync.

The group of Fumiko also get on the carriage and when all the group settle there luggage and things needed. The carriage started to move out of the capital Chander.

'Ones we were out of the borderline.  Our first mission and test to become an adventurer will start' I thought. It is not visible in my face but I am excited for our first mission.
