*Avery's POV*

"Get used to it girl," Faith said to me as she took a bite out of her tuna sandwich, moaning in delight. "You studied for the Maths test today for last period?" She asks, you could see the tuna in her mouth as she talked.

"Wait, that's today?" My eyes widen, shoot. She nods her head, I just search through my bag, looking for the Maths paper revision booklet. "I thought that was on Monday." I groaned and started to massage my temples.

"What's wrong?" I hear Kade ask, I then saw at the corner of me eyes him sitting next to me.

"She's worried that she isn't going to get a good level in the Math exam as she did not revise." She said and he chuckled.

"That's why? Come on, its about time you get a bad level. You do know you're known for being a goody two shoes around here?" He says, I nod my head slightly. "This could boost up your street cred, and then everyone would start calling Zara Lions the goody two shoes. She's next in line, as we all know." He says and points to her.

She was pretty, but she wasn't popular. She did work hard in school though, she wanted to make a good name for herself. As do I, but one low level wouldn't hurt, would it?

"I won't try on one test, only one though!" I sigh in defeat, I do need to boost up my street cred a bit. It's not like I get bullied or anything, it's just you wouldn't class me as popular.

I'm not the type of girl who wears make up, you would class me as an average girl but I'm not pretty. But I have two best friends who tell me I'm beautiful every day when I wake up, that helps with my low self esteem.

The bell rings to show it is 6th period, I walk to the main hall where the tests take place. Me, Kade and Faith head there together, Kade grabs my hand and gives it a tight squeeze as to tell me everything will be okay. I give him a small smile until I sit the the assigned seat.

"This is a test. There will be no signs of communication or that will lead straight into a day of isolation and one hours detention tonight." The exam administrator said, it's not like I'm doing my GCSE's yet. They are just practicing for when it does come up to that.

"The test will begin in no longer than 10 minutes, I would like all pupils to place their mobile phones in each of the plastic wallets we have left on each of your desks. The staff members will put them in a brown box, and they will be returned by the end of the exam." He said, making many students give out a loud groan. "We are still in test conditions!" He bellowed and all the students turned silent.

I grabbed my phone from my blazer pocket, it was my new iPhone 5s. It was in white, I loved it. I placed it in the clear plastic bag, I looked to the side of me to see a girl with messy hair and a Nokia brick phone. I gave her a small smile and she returned it.

We have groups in the school, there was the groups of 'Scrubbers' as you may call it, and the group of 'Rich kids' and the average group. I'm in the average group but I do admit, I am spoiled but I don't brag.

A staff member, with the name of Mrs Woodley, grabbed the bag and threw it in with the other phones. If that's broken, I swear..

"You may open your booklets, and start. If you finish early, you may draw on the back of the booklet or stare at the front. No turning back or sideways, or you will be accused of cheating." He says and starts the timer.

I open my book, looking at all the questions. This booklet was easy, I just flicked through the pages. But I need to get some wrong, for my reputation.

45 minutes later, I finished the test. I had to scribble some of the answers out and change them. I could have easily got full marks, but I made sure to get at least 20 taken off.

The bell went, indicating we could go. I just looked towards the door, home time at last..
