*Avery's POV*
I knew I was going to regret what I was about to do.. Time to make enemies on the first day. I walk over to them, the boy looks at me confused with his big emerald eyes. "Just leave him alone." I say to the boy who was currently kicking the green eyed boy, I'm just going to call him curly.
The boy stopped and looked at me. "What are you going to do about it?" He asks me, and I shrug. In high school in England, I was always really shy but some how I feel like I needed to stand up for myself and other people. It gave me a boost of confidence.
"Nothing, I just told you to leave him alone. Have you seen him? He is terrified of you." I say and look at the boy and give him a small smile.
"I know. Now, will you leave me alone slut and mind your own business." He said and a slutty girl shouted "Fuck off slut."
"Just leave him alone." I told the boy. He rolled his eyes and Hayes just glared at me. They ended up walking away after about 2 minutes.
I lend the boy a hand, helping him up. "Thank you." He said and smiled, showing his dimples.
"Anytime. I'm Avery." I say.
"I'm Harry." He said and smiled once again.
"Do they do that everyday?" I ask him and he nods. "Do you have any friends? Not to sound rude or anything.." I ask.
"No, everyone left once Jake started picking on me. We used to be best friends, I don't know what happened." He said and looked down.
"I will be your friend!" I say and give him a warm smile.
"You'll leave, everyone leaves.." He mumbles.
"I always think like that, remember, I'm here for you." I say and then we start to get to know each other.
I then felt a number of people shoving me and it was all the populars. Including Hayes. "Watch where you're going fucking English bitch." Hayes said, somehow that hurt my feelings.
"I'm sorry, you're just going to get bullied. You shouldn't hang around me, I'm sorry." He says and I laugh.
"Who cares? We will get through this together." I give him a small smile, eventhough what they said hurt me..
It hurt me a lot.
