"I am always ready to die, Malfoy"

Mali and Draco bounced down the stairs to the dungeons, before running into the common room. "Hey, Greengrass!" Draco yelled, "We found it!"

Daphne inspected the snitch approvingly, before waving her wand with a flourish and speaking an incantation that Mali didn't recognize. She then spoke into the air, though Mali and Draco could hear her as though she were speaking right into their ears. "Come back to the commons."

"How'd you do that?" Mali asked in wonder.

"All in time, Fallon." Over the next twenty minutes, all the first years stumbled into the common room, some indifferent, some with a look of disappointment.

"Okay, Fallon and Malfoy won this task, which means that they are captains for the next task. You two, flip a galleon for who picks first," Daphne instructed. Draco pulled a galleon out of his pocket, holding it out for Mali to see.

"You call, Fallon," And he flipped the coin into the air, before quickly flipping it onto the back of his left hand.

"Er, Goblin." Draco lifted his hand to reveal a Dragon face up, and smirked. Mali groaned. "Shit."

     "Alright, I pick Theo."

     "Lottie."

     "Astoria."

     "Blaise."

     "Urquhart."

     "Pansy."

"I'm the ref," Adrian Pucey stated.

"Okay, this should be fun. Your next task is quidditch, except you're not allowed to use brooms. It's ground quidditch."

"How on earth is that supposed to be fun, Daph?" Astoria groaned.

"Oh, I meant fun for me. To watch."

Daphne Greengrass and Miles Bletchley walked down to the Quidditch pitch with a gaggle of first years behind them. Walking to the middle of the field, when they stopped, Bletchley raised his voice.

"Okay, morons. We've transfigured the goal hoops to be close to the ground. You will play quidditch like normal, except without your brooms. So basically, it's like muggle rugby but with a quaffle, and only one bludger. No snitch. Try not to kill yourselves."

"Alright, divide into your teams. Fallon, you lot are ok the far side," Daphne instructed, pointing to the side of the pitch farther from the castle. "Malfoy, you're on this side."

Once Mali had gone with her team to the far side of the pitch, they huddled together. "Okay, all. I haven't done a ton of flying, but my sister is quite good so I at least know how to play chaser. Zabini, you should probably be a beater, Lottie and Pansy, one of you be the keeper."

"I'll do that one, it seems like the least in action," Pansy volunteered with a grin.

"Okay, Lottie, you're the other chaser." Lottie nodded, and the team got into position, Blaise picking up a beater's bat and Pansy standing in front of the goal posts. Mali and Colletta stood in the center of the field, facing Malfoy and Brian Urquhart. Theo was the beater for the other team, and apparently Astoria was their keeper.
