"pizza."

After Midsummer's, Malice's holiday quickly became boring. The Weasley's had left on their month-long Egypt trip, and Cedric was so busy with his fifth-year summer homework that he'd barely had any time to see his best friend.

Not to mention that Harry was been staying with his Aunt and Uncle, as James Potter had been called to America for a mission and MACUSA had brought Lily as well, hoping for an excellent healer to deal with whatever had happened over there. Unfortunately, this meant that nothing came from Harry but radio silence.

Because of the fact that it seemed that none of her friends really had any other friends, the seven Slytherins had taken to essentially living in Fallon Manor, all of them camped in the living room due to the fact that Mali's room wasn't large enough to house them all. They had come one at a time, each child fed up with their boring summer, until all of them were there, living on the plush carpet floors and eating in the dining room every day.

"I miss school," Pansy groaned, flopping her arms over the arm of the couch.

"I miss it too," Astoria agreed, inspecting her nails.

Theo snorted, picking up his head to look at the girl. "Why? Not like you actually do anything during school anyways."

      "Oh, you little—"

"Be nice, Astra, Theo," Blaise interrupted, pushing Theo's head back down.

"Well, I miss school," grumbled Lottie.

"I don't," Draco Malfoy added, grabbing a piece of the pizza. "It's pathetic— Merlin, what is this stuff? It's bloody amazing."

"Pizza," Mali responded. "It's an American thing, or a Muggle thing," she stopped, cocking her head to the side. "One of those two, I can never tell the difference. And where're you going around calling Hogwarts pathetic? Last I checked, you're the one living at my house because your own is too boring."

Draco scowled, crossing his arms. "Not my fault that Father hasn't been home since Black escaped."

"Who?" Lottie asked, looking up from where she was braiding Pansy's hair.

"Sirius Black? The Azkaban escapee?" Theo offered, gaping when Colletta shook her head in confusion. "Honestly, Lottie, where've you been for the past month?"

"My mum's a half-blood, you imbeciles. I was with my grandmother in Bordeaux. Who's this Sirius Black, then?"

"My cousin," Draco responded with a chuckle. "Mum's first cousin, actually. He killed a bunch of muggles, blew up a street or something. First person to ever escape Azkaban, as of two weeks ago."

"I thought it was meant to be inescapable?"

"Why do you think the Ministry's in overdrive, Lottie?" Pansy asked. "It is supposed to be inescapable."

"Speaking of the Ministry in overdrive," Malice interrupted. "Mum's not coming home tonight, so we can just ask Jilly and Ponsey for whatever we want for dinner."

Dear Harry,

Happy Thirteenth!

I've made Hedwig promise that she'll deliver this as quickly as possible, so as not to alert those awful Muggles that your parents stuck you with until school starts. We'll have a proper celebration back at Hogwarts, and I'm never letting you stay with those people again. Next time, you're coming to the Manor. If you can, I'm meeting Ron in London in a few weeks to buy our school supplies, and we were hoping you'd be able to come. Lottie's coming as well, and Ron said that Granger coming was "non-negotiable." (load of rubbish if you ask me.)
