Part 1 Meeria

I sat there as the sand blew across the ground. As the camels, drank out of the waterhole I sat by. I licked my lips as I watch the camels  drink the fresh water, while I am tied up dying of thirst. I looked around to see if the close was clear. The men were to busy yelling at each other. I inched closer and closer towards the camel. I stopped to make sure they were still fighting. I started to inch again. I turned towards the water and put my head in it. I started to drink the cool water. The water slid down my throat smoothly as my thirst was slowly drifting away.  I began to drink faster indulging the water,  knowing that this moment would be over soon.

"What the hell do you think you are doing!?"

I jumped as soon as I heard him scream, my heart leapt out of my chest. I could hardily breathe, but didn't care I kept drinking. The man snatch my long hair and pulled me up by it.

I release a blood churning scream and began to beg , "Please stop please!"

He laughed and threw me on the ground. I look up slowly at him. Are eyes met, we stared at each other with hate. His light grey eyes looked evil and cold. He let out a loud and obnoxious laugh. He walked over to me. I tried to scoot back, but my hands were tied up so couldn't move back fast enough.

He go on one knee in front of me. I looked down so I wouldn't have to make eye contact with him. He grabbed my chin. I pulled my chin away and spit in his eyes.

The man jumped up, "Ah! You know what I was going to be nice, but you can kiss your food good bye."

My eyes widen. He grabbed me by my hair again.

I began to beg again, "Please let me go!"

He laughed again. The man tied me to the rope attach to the camel. He walked away and went to where the other guys were.

The other girls who were captured with me were now tied up next to me. Most of them didn't even look up when the man brought me over there. Most of the girls  acted like they wanted to die. I mean I did at first but I had to be strong for my little sister. She was here to. The mysterious men raided our village and took all the virgins. I still remember my father crying out trying to stop them from taking us. I sighed at the thought of my dad, I began to feel hurt. I tried hard not to burst out in a tears. Who was going to take care of him? I need to get back,  I miss him so much. A tear trickled down my cheek.

"Alright ladies, it's feeding time!"

The man with the light grey eyes yelled. He had a brown sack with bread inside of it. He walk in front of each girl and handed them a half of loaf of bread . This is better what we usually eat. Sometimes we don't even.

He stop at me and chuckled, "You think you're getting some?"

I looked away and rolled my eyes.

 "I'm talking to you!"

I glared at him and scoffed, "I already know what you are going to say. So what's the point?"

Everybody head snapped over as soon as I said that. He looked so embarrassed. I could tell he was getting tense.

"You don't talk to me like that!"

He raised his hand and slapped me. I let out a small whimper and held my face.

"You respect me! All of you respect me!"

Everyone got quiet. I just stared straight into his eyes. I can tell he was growing uncomfortable but I didn't look away. We were just staring at each other. He finally broke out stare and put his hands through his black hair. He spat on me and walked away. If I wasn't tied up I would of killed him. I was beyond mad, I was furious. I felt weird like something inside me was ready to claw out and kill him. Kill everyone in my path.

Why do I feel like this?

I started breathing harder and harder. My anger was taking over.

"Meeria please calm down."

My sister put her hand on my leg. I looked over at her she had an worried look on her face. I just continued to become even angrier.

"Meeria please, you got to stop you're scaring me."

I glance over at her, trying to calm down. I started to take a deep breath and close my eyes. I calmed down and look back at my sister

"I'm sorry. It's just something about him," I whispered.

She nod "I know. He's a jerk." She said softly

I looked away starring at the desert and stars. I look back at her

"I'm going to get you out of this. I promise you."

She smiled and lean her head on my shoulder then closed her eyes. I leaned my head on her head and drifted into slumber.

"Wake up!"

I woke up to the man with the grey eyes. I looked around everyone else was still sleep and it was still dark. I rolled my eyes

"What?" I whispered.

He sat down next to me.

"I just wanted to say sorry for what I have done."

I gave him an confused look, "You're... You're sorry?" I whispered not trying to wake anyone up.

He nodded.

 I asked "Wh-why?"

He looked down and looked back at me

"I felt bad. I couldn't sleep. And I like that you haven't given up like the other girls."

I looked at his eyes to see if he was being sincere, his eyes soften

He continued "You're going to make it. But if you don't you are in get trouble."

I asked "What do you mean?"

He looked down like he was ashamed. He looked around making sure everyone was still sleeping.

"I can't tell you. But you have to be ready. Here just in case"

He handed me a knife full of jewels on the handle. I gave him an confused look. It's like he wants me to escape.

He added "Please don't run away. You'll get lost in the desert and die. This is for just in case."

I tucked the knife on the side of my skirt.

I whispered "Thank you."

I gave him a hug which seem to surprise him.

 "Keep this between us."

He got up and walk back into the tent. I took the knife out and studied it. I looked at my sister who was asleep on my lap and put the knife back in my pants. I'm going to get us out of this and kissed her on the forehead. I closed my eyes and dosed off.
