Part 7 'Meeria'

'Meeria'

I ran down the hallway in fear. In fear of what? I looked back there he was the man from last night.

I screamed. "Somebody please help me!"

 I glanced back again and he was gone. I looked forward and ran into him. He grabbed my arm.

 I started to plead "Rakeem please help me!"

 The man started to laugh and said "He's dead."

As soon as he said that, my body felt as if the earth was collapsing on top me crushing me. I fell straight to the ground and started to sob. My heart stopped I forgot how to breathe. I couldn't move or feel. I laid there in desperation of breath like my heart my everything was taken from me. I felt like dying.

I heard something fading in "Meeria." getting louder and louder "Meeria." soon I was able to hear as clear as day.

 "Meeria! Wake up."

I opened my eyes slowly and looked around. Rakeem and my little sister Mary were kneeling next to me. Mary was putting a wet cloth to my forehead.

 I looked around with terror in my eyes and asked "Where did he go?"

 Mary and Rakeem looked at each other with confusion and then me. Rakeem gave me a questioning look "What? Who go?"

 I gave him a surprise look and sat up fast.

 "You're alive!"

 I gave him a hug. At first he just sat there in confusion and then finally he got over it and hugged me back. I felt all the shocks between us. Stronger than the last time. The shocks were so strong I didn't want to let go.

 Finally he let go and said "I think you were just dreaming."

 Mary asked "What was it even about?" I paused for a minute and remembered what the man said to me.

 "I don't remember."

 I lied. How could I forget a dream like that vivid and real. Rakeem gave me a worried look, and rubbed my hand.
