"Lottie, I'm sorry ok.  I was jealous. I was a jerk,"  Seb said as he followed Lottie into their suite in Mexico.

"Yes, you was Sebastian. You were so rude to Brad. And I find it insulting how you don't trust me."

"I do trust you."

"Obviously not."

"I said I'm sorry. Why do women always have to drag things out?"

He realised he had said the wrong thing as soon as the words had left his mouth. She whirled around and glared at him.

"You what? You're the one that was acting like a class A prick. Sorry just doesn't cut it.  I'm trying to be understanding, I really am. I know you're going through a shit time but that doesn't mean you can treat me like this. Like I'm gonna cheat on you. Ignoring me when you feel your nose put out of joint. Then you think a simple sorry excuses you. No Sebastian, it doesn't work like that. I appreciate the apology but you have got to stop doing this."

"So I just have to watch some guy you used to fuck making eyes at you? You're mine!" he shouted.

"Used to, exactly.  Last time I checked I'm fucking you now! You know something. I've had enough for one night Seb. There's just no getting through to you. I'm going to see if I can share with Laura and Abby. Maybe some time to yourself will make you realise."

She grabbed her case and headed to the door.

"If you walk out now then don't bother coming back.   We'll be over." Lottie looked sadly back at him.

"Then I guess we're over," she said before dragging her case out of the room.

Lottie knocked on Sophie and Joel's door. She had no idea which room Laura and Abby were in and neither of them were answering their phone.  Joel answered the door and Lottie burst into tears.

"Lottie, what is it?" he asked, pulling her into a hug. "Come on in. Sophie's just having a shower. Soph!! Hurry up. Lottie's here, she needs you. "

"Seb," she managed to spit out between sobs.

"What's he done? Have I got to bury him in the woods?"

"It's over. We're done."

"What the fuck?" Sophie said, coming out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.

"We were fighting over Brad. Seb was being pathetic. He obviously doesn't trust me. I had to leave to get some space. He told me if I walked out we were over."

"I'm gonna kill him," said Sophie. "Emotional blackmail? Didn't think Seb was the sort."

"Hes not himself at the moment Soph. I can't really say any more. It's his business. "

"Even so. Any fool can see how much you love him. "

"I dont know what to do. I can't get hold of Laura and Abby. I was going to see if I could stay with them. I can't go back now."

" You can stay with Soph Lottie. I'll see if I can crash with Ollie."

"Joel,  I can't take your room."

"Yes you can," Sophie butted in. "I'm sure you don't snore as loud as him so you'll be doing me a favour. You don't get to say no. We can have some girly nights. Watch some romcoms. Come here," she said, putting her arms around her friend.  She gestured at Joel to make himself scarce. He nodded and quietly left the room.

" Listen, I don't know what Seb's problem is but he shouldn't be taking it out on you. You've done nothing but love that man. If he wants to lose the best thing that ever happened tonhim then that's his problem. Chin up girl. He will soon come crawling back begging for forgiveness. You see if he doesn't."

"What if he doesn't?"

"Cross that bridge if you come to it. Just give him time to reflect. There's no way he meant it. That man is crazy about you."

"Doesn't feel like it right now."

"Sweetie, I know he loves you. He really does. And I know you love him. Just take a little time for things to calm down and everything will be ok. I know it will. Now come on.  Dry your eyes and help me pick a movie."

Seb sat on the edge of the bed just staring at the wall. Well the thing he had been dreading had come to pass. He had lost her. He knew he was the one that had caused it but she had still walked out on him. She knew he needed her yet still she had gone. He had driven her away. He was too proud to beg her to come back. Surely she knew he hadn't meant it. Didn't she?

He swallowed his pride and called her number. No answer. Then his phone rang. He grabbed it, hoping it was her but it was Sophie.

"Sophie, please tell me she's there. Please say I haven't messed things up."

"She's here. I would say it's a pretty big mess Seb."

"Please let me talk to her."

"She doesn't want to talk to you right now. She told me to tell you she needs space. She's going to spend the weekend here with me.  After that you two need to talk and find out if you can salvage anything of this mess."

"Sophie please.  I need to tell her I didn't mean it. Please tell me she'll come back to me. That I haven't lost her."

"I can't tell you that Seb. I just don't know." Sophie hung up. Seb swore and threw his phone across the room, shattering the screen.

Lottie was just getting ready on the Thursday morning to head to the track when her phone rang. It said unknown number. She frowned, hoping it wasn't Seb trying to get hold of her. She still wasn't ready to talk to him yet. She was dreading seeing him today. Another part of her just wanted to hold him, kiss him, tell him she loved him.

She answered the call. Sophie stood by the door waiting for Lottie. She saw the colour drain from her face. She dropped the phone and screamed "Noooo!"
