Matt Sohinki's P.O.V;
"Dinner guys!" Mom shouted,peeking her head around the corner of the door smiling. Christian paused his game and stood up,along with April and Jon. As we was walking out the door to the dining room,I grabbed April by the waist and kissed her on the cheek and she grinned at me. We all took our seats and a plate of food was placed in front of us. My mom had cooked steak and chips along with salad and onion rings.
"She never normally does this" Mumbled Jon with a slight laugh,my dad laughed at him while my mom frowned slightly. We all started to eat our food in silence.
"Soo Christian,hows school?" I asked,trying to break the silence.
"Ok I guess,a boy in my class is in hospital"
"Aw,why?"
"His mommy and daddy were hitting him a lot,he tried to tell on them but the teachers said he was lying" A shocked look sat on all our faces. April's face especially. She stared blankly at her plate,lost in thought.
"Is she ok?" My mom asked puzzled,turning to look at her .
"Yeah,sensitive subject" I murmured,tapping her gently,snapping her out of the trance.
"Huh?" She said "Oh sorry,zoned out" She laughed,quickly wiping a tear away. We carried on eating but I knew they all noticed that one tear. The look on their faces told me. We finished eating in silence. April took all of our plates and put them in the dishwasher and I walked after her in after her.
"Are you ok?" I turned her so she was looking at me. She smiled slightly.
"Yeah,i'm fine"
"You sure?"
"Yeah" She kissed my cheek and walked into the living room with my family. We all sat down on the couches,I sat next to Jon and April sat next to my parents while Christian got back into his Mario game.
"So April,do you work on Youtube too?" My dad asked.
"Yeah,I have my own channels and I help out on SmoshGames with the editing and stuff" She smiled.
"Is it good pay then? A lot of people work on there!" He laughed.
"We don't do it for the money,we do it for the fans and the enjoyment of working on Youtube" She laughed back.
"Oh I see,how do you both meet?"
"She's known Joven all her life,they got back in touch and she moved over here and well.." I grinned proudly,Thinking back the first time we met..
"Its nice to meet you April" I said,out-stretching my hand.
She shook my hand "Pleasure to meet you too Sohinki"
"Aww,so sweet" Jon pinched my cheek,snapping me out of the memory. I just laughed and pushed him away.
"Er,if you don't mind me asking hun,why did you get so upset when Chris brought up the fact that little boy was abused? Did it happen to y-"
"Mom" I stopped her from saying. Wasn't is obvious enough? She saw how it made her feel so why is she asking? Just curious I guess. April sighed.
"It did happen to me..sort of" She sighed "They mainly hit my mom,they only hit me a few times,I just don't like the subject" Her expression was blank.
"Oh sweetheart,i'm so sorry"
"Its ok,things happen,its life" She smiled slightly. We spoke for a little after that,she just told them simple facts about her like her age,which part of California she was from and so on. Then we got the games out and spent hours playing,and getting seriously annoyed at,Mario Kart. I don't think any of us really noticed the time due to us all having fun.
