Just a small note before we start, in this one, like the last one, Sakusa has a place in Hyōgo which is why he takes the bus instead of walking with Komori~koi
•••••=•••••
Itachiyama's after school practice had just come to an end and to say they were exhausted would be an understatement. Sakusa of course had gotten into the locker room early, that way he could take a shower and be out before the rest of the team filed in.
After taking his shower, Sakusa got into uniform and left the locker room. He was half way through putting his mask on as he left, and after getting it on, his attention was caught by a few of the students who had been watching them practice.
Sakusa was used to the strange looks and comments that were thrown his way, but he, like everyone else still felt, and the comments still hurt. Even if he didn't show it, so when the dark-haired overheard the few students conversation, he couldn't help but feel a little hurt.
"He's always got a mask on, what's with that, weirdo.." One of the three mumbled.
"It's not just the mask, don't get too close to him either, he'll freak out on you." Another mumbled.
"He's Itachiyama's freak, that's for sure." Another commented and caused some laughter from the group.
Sakusa sighed bitterly and shook his head, pushing the comments aside for the moment and walking out of the gymnasium. He was going to wait for Komori, however, given the fact his day was already bad enough and the new comments that were bound to get on his nerves, Sakusa just wasn't in the mood.
He then started walking to his bus stop, at first everything was fine but slowly, Sakusa's surroundings came as a blur while the comments had resurfaced. Sakusa hopped on the bus, which cleared his mind for a good minute. Normally he'd avoid public transportation but this bus was almost always empty and he never touched anything on it, so he could tolerate the trip.
Sakusa found a spot on the bus and stood there, he was already done with the day and simply wanted to get home. However, the poor dark-haired couldn't even have a peaceful ride home, the students voices from earlier came back around. Subtly at first, then clouding his mind completely, endless comments he'd head over the years went around so fast it made Sakusa feel sick, he couldn't stand it.
Sakusa always tried not to give into these comments, and after himself and Atsumu had gotten together, thanks to his boyfriends help, he'd gotten a lot better at not letting them get to him, but there were some times where they'd become too much. There were times where all comments would bring back insecurities and doubts Sakusa worked so hard to get rid of. Times like that, Atsumu would tell Sakusa that the comments weren't true, and hearing him say it was all Sakusa needed, but Atsumu wasn't there.
Atsumu.. Sakusa snapped back around at the feeling of his phone vibrating in his pocket, signifying he'd gotten a message. And, coincidentally, also being the moment the bus stopped. Sakusa decided he'd answer the message when he got home and got off the bus.
During that walk home, Sakusa could only describe his feelings as weak, he felt weak, sick even, like he'd just collapse at any moment. This was normally what his anxiety would cause him to feel, but just because he'd gotten used to it, doesn't mean he liked it.
The only relief Sakusa got from his feelings was when when he arrived home, walking through his front door and setting his things down. The relief was only short lived though as Sakusa still felt sick, that feeling didn't leave him. Though he still tried to push it aside, and so Sakusa headed up to his room while finally checking his phone, hoping the message he got might distract him.
