"Ya know Omi, I think yer bein' a bit tedi-"

"-Atsumu, stop. I told you I'm busy." Sakusa sighed bitterly, inherently frustrated and unfortunately the blonde beside him wasn't making it any better.

He'd missed a lot of work the past week due to a hectic schedule and now finally had to get through it all, giving him more stress than he needed. The work had left Sakusa with one hell of a headache and unfortunately Atsumu's constant chatter wasn't making it any better at the moment.

"-don't be such a prude! 'M just tryin' t'-"

"Miya, can you shut up for five minutes?!" Sakusa raised his voice, the dark-haired unintentionally snapping before letting out a bitter sigh. "You know I have to get this finished and yet you haven't stopped talking since we got here."

Atsumu fell silent at this, his head falling as he registered his boyfriends words. He didn't want to take it as personally as he did, he knew Sakusa was just stressed, but there had to have been a better way to go about it.

Unless there wasn't, the blonde thought for a moment, yeah, maybe it was about time he stopped talking.

If it's only goin' t' be a bother why keep tryin'..

"Sorry Omi," Atsumu cleared his throat just barely, taking a short breath before standing up. "'M goin' t' be out in the livin' room if ya need me."

And with that, he'd left, sparing no little as a glance at Sakusa. The ravenette in question paid no mind to Atsumu's unusual actions, simply muttering out something bitter, but in relief.

Now he could focus, right?

An ungodly amount of frustration and a few hours later, Sakusa let out the biggest sigh of relief in his life. The pleasure of feeling his whole body finally relax knowing all his work was done was immeasurable, he couldn't help but smile a little.

"'Tsumu, I'm-.." He called out softly, a short yawn following as he turned in his chair to face the other, who he assumed was still sitting on his bed. However, when he'd been met with the sight of nothing, his voice fell short. "..done?"

It didn't take long, less then a second later it hit him. Sakusa remembered right quick how he snapped at Atsumu earlier, only now noting just how silent things went. The blonde hadn't even put up a fight, he simply left.

Shit.

A bitter groan slipped Sakusa's lips as he slumped back in his chair, fingers coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose as he gave his actions a thought. He knew he shouldn't have lashed out like that, even more he knew he had to apologize, just, how?

He'd never been good with expressing himself, and with Atsumu it always led him to situations like this. The blonde had always seemed to forgive him in an instant though, which the dark-haired assumed he'd do again, it only made him feel worse.

"Fuck it, just go." Sakusa told himself rather harshly as he pushed himself up from his chair and headed out.

As he'd made it downstairs, the dark-haired bumped into his mother, both pausing for a moment to spare one another a look.

"Atsumu's in the living room, right?"

Amaya simply nodded at the question, yet before Sakusa could walk past her, she pulled him back by a short tug on his sleeve.

"You talk to him and see if he's alright, got it?" Amaya narrowed her eyes as her expression remained stern, she'd talked to Atsumu after seeing the state he was in. But after getting little to nothing for a response, she figured it had something to do with her boy. "He's looked down for a while now."

"I'm-.. I'm going to, don't worry." Sakusa reassured quickly, giving a short nod as he slipped past his mother and into the living room.

All he was met with was Atsumu's back towards him, as that's the way his couch faced. The blonde was slightly hunched over, clutching a pillow to his chest, or so it looked from the little tips peaking out past Atsumu's arms. His posture alone sold him out in an instant, of course he was still upset, he had a habit of curling up close to himself whenever he was.

Without a word, Sakusa walked up behind him and leaned over to place a kiss on the blondes head, making him jump at the sudden contact. Honey brown eyes whipped around to meet a deep green, seeming almost surprised to see the other downstairs.

Their gaze was held as Sakusa sat down at Atsumu's side, both males eventfully twisting a tad to face one another.

A soft smile quickly fell on the faux blondes face, his entire expression seemingly softening in Sakusa's presence. "Did ya finish yer work?" His tone's soft, yet if you knew him well enough, you could pin the ill feeling behind it.

The ravenette across Atsumu spared nothing more than a nod in response, the two quickly falling into a semi-uncomfortable silence. Both grew tired of the silence in n instant, and like usual, Atsumu had planned on being the tension breaker — yet before he could speak, Sakusa had beaten him to it.

"'Tsumu I didn't mean to snap at you, I'm sorry."

"It's fine Omi, I shouldn-"

"-No," Sakusa cut him off in an instant, making Atsumu tense up. "No it's not, it shouldn't be." He stated sternly.

The faux blonde fell silent, seemingly contemplating something for a moment before a soft sigh finally slipped his lips. He'd set the pillow aside, Atsumu's now laid in his lap, nervously gripping at his thighs.

"Just-.. don't do it again. If ya need me t' stop, don't yell." Atsumu held his head low, eyes staring intently at the couch cushions as apposed to facing his lover "Please."

The guilt a single action could cause hit Sakusa like a truck, the dark-haired inwardly cursed at himself as he reached out to tenderly place a hand on Atsumu's.

"I won't, I promise." The dark-haired swore to it, finally earning those beautiful honey brown eyes back on him once again.

Atsumu was hesitant, it was clear as day, yet as he watched Sakusa retract his hand and open his arms up for a hug, he couldn't help but feel that hesitation slowly slip away. He quickly found himself in Sakusa's embrace, a genuinely soft smile etching its way onto his face as warm arms wrapped around him securely.

The two sat like so in silence for a few minutes, simply enjoying the moment.

"I love you 'Tsumu," Sakusa broke the silence, his voice hushed and soft — nearly a whisper — as he placed another chaste kiss on Atsumu's head. "Don't you ever think otherwise, yeah?"

"I love ya too, Omi."
