She doesn't know how many hours have passed since she lost consciousness in the dead forest.

Her landing was uncalled for. She wanted to travel with the couple but it seems like she isn't welcome in the slightest bit. Lady Crane groggily stretched her wings as she looked around her.

What was she expecting? The place remained the same- lifeless. Devoid of any living creatures. She sighed and looked at the ground below her feeling something snap from her movements. Flowers bloomed underneath her making Lady Crane look at it in amazement.

Did she create those unconsciously? She gently touched those and it sprouted from it's trampled state. The flower bloomed to a beautiful blue flower. She crouched down and inspected it in wonder.

Her wings slowly embraced her body as Lady Crane tried to think of what to do for the time being. She couldn't stay in the forest for long like the way the couple should too. Of course she knows they can sustain but that doesn't mean she doesn't worry.

She's tempted to go to their direction and probably check up their state but she doesn't think the young man, Chou, would appreciate such moves.

Lady Crane ended up standing as at least a meter of the dried soil rose up to life. She stepped out of it and tried to control her magic to make the forest alive... it failed. She started to think she's better off sleeping again so at least life will bloom in this sadness.

All she did is stand on the despairing forest as the sun shone through her rosy complexion. Her white chiton dress glowed from the sunlight as Lady Crane slowly started to walk away.

She wanted to preserve her strength so she opted to keep a snail pace. As she walk, her stomach growled in the process. Lady Crane ended up trying to make a small plant bloom in the soil.

Out of all the times for her magic to betray her, it just have to be today. Lady Crane wanted to cry as the soil refuse to budge in her intense concentration. Her unconscious release of magic on the ground while sleeping must exhaust her a while ago.

She ended up leaning on the tree as she think about her dilemma. She should rest for a bit, replenish her strength and attempt to make a small plant sprout.

Time seems so slow in this world. She couldn't help but miss the vast darkness she have been before she was born in this world. She simply existed in that place and it was... it was peaceful. War didn't exist in that plane. It was just silence and solace.

She diverted her attention through combing her hair using her fingers. She can feel a spark of magic creeping through her fingertips. Lady Crane crouched down and prayed to her mother for this to be at least successful in the process.

She couldn't die in this sad place.

She refuses to die.

Her mother must have heard her desperation because instead of a small plant, the tree she was leaning on stood proud and healthy with green leaves reflecting the sunlight. Lady Crane couldn't help but gasp at the miracle she have created.

One lone apple dangles on top of the tree branch. Well... Why only one? It was red and ripe. Perfect for consumption of a needy angel like her. She couldn't complain. She doesn't have the energy to do so.

So she began her climb to diminish the hunger on her system. She fell on the tree as she climbed. She stepped on the wrong branch and it was the first time she did such activity. Her knee got scrapped and Lady Crane winced at the sting.
