Chapter Six- Shouko Enters The Scene

            Saki grabbed onto my left hand and I walked with her as well as Shouko who was on my right arm and Sen who was behind us. We went over to where the rest had began digging the hole they were talking about. "Hey Ruisu this hole is gonna be deep enough that you could stand in it!" Said Lua. "Why do I have to be the one who stands in it?" I asked. Everyone chuckled. "Because you're the tallest here, dummy." Said Lua. I got down and started helping out and so did Sen and Shouko. "Hey Saki sit down here." I said while pointing to a place behind me. Saki sat down and Shouko frowned. "Hey can I sit here?" Asked Shouko. She sat down next to me while I was digging. "Why do you have to be so close?" I asked. I saw her glare at Saki while she thought I wasn't looking, but I decided not to say anything. "Well I like being near you..." she said. When she realized I wasn't paying her any mind she frowned again. "I'm kinda hot, Ruisu can you come with me to get something to drink?" She asked. I gave her a side eye while I continued to dig. "I would but I'm helping with this right now." I said. She pouted and stomped off.

            After an hour of digging we all took a break to get drinks. I notice Saki wasn't around and I went over to our little home in a cave. While going over there I pass by the side of the bathrooms and see Shouko talking to Saki. I quickly dart back before they could see me and listen from around the corner. "Listen I know something is going on between you and Ruisu." Shouko said. "I want him and I'm going to take him from you. You wouldn't have a problem with that would you? You're used to being alone after all, and that's how you been all the time." Saki started writing in her notepad while tears started forming in her eyes. She flipped the notepad and showed it to Shouko. She wasn't writing she was actually trying to find the first drawing I did for her, from the first night we met. She then wrote on the next page 'he's special so I can't give you him, not like the rest. You won't take him from me.' She then ran off past me, Shouko stood there silently for a moment before falling to her knees. I heard her mumble something to herself while she stood up and stormed off.

            A couple hours past and we dig half of the big hole we was planning on having. It started getting hotter around 2PM and everyone ended up changing to swimwear of some sort. Ken, Goni, and I all had regular swim trunks while Sen had to where an all black swimsuit. "I forgot you're on the swim team, but why did you HAVE to where that?" Ken asked. Sen turned his head and did a pose with his ass facing us. "What you don't like the view?" Sen asked while winking at Ken. "No I ain't into no... boy love stuff." Ken replied. Lua was wearing a two piece cow bikini, while Shouko tried to rock an all black two piece. Isaki on the other hand had a school style all black one piece. Shouko sat down behind me and wrapped her arms around me while I was sitting on the edge of hole. "What are you doing?" I asked while turning my head to her. "You don't like when girls hold onto you?" She asked with a grin? I took her arms off me and glanced at Saki who was pouting while watching me. I step down into the hole and start digging from the inside. "We might have to go faster if we wanna finish this before the day is done." Said Goni. "We could continue tomorrow then!" Said Lua. "Plus my arms are getting kinda tired." I climb over to Lua and wave for her to move back. "I could do this for you then if you wanna just watch." I suggested. Lua nodded and stood back while I started digging like a dog. Shouko again came over to me and crouched down next to me. "You should take a break too, you seem to be doing the most work here." Shouko said while putting her hand on my shoulder. "I'm good, I'm not that tired." I said while I dumped some sand to the side. "I think we could fit Ken in here, maybe." Said Sen who instead of digging went to play in the water. "We might've been able to fit you in there if you was actually helping." Goni said scolding Sen.
