Eloise"Hey stranger." the newly familiar voice rang through my ears when the smiling face of Hawkins High's favourite boy stood next to me beside my open locker. "I have a name y'know." putting the books from my last class back into the tight space of my locker and I laughed when he shook his head "It's more, mysterious that way." pretending to agree I pout my lips as I squint my brows sarcastically nodding to the boy. "Steve Harrington, what do you want?" I sighed closing my locker.
"Can't a friend come up and say hello?" lost in words I looked up at the boy not knowing if a friend was truly a compliment or not. "Since when did we become friends? I mean we only barely talked for about a ten to fifteen-minute drive." I snicker. Rubbing his chin he lifted his arm to rest on the rows of lockers "I can consider that it might have just started a friendship that'll last a lifetime."
"Totally." I laughed and began walking off towards the front entrance of the high school towards the parking lot "I need your help. You're a girl right?" The question blows me off guard as the confusion hits me "I mean the last time I checked I believe I was. Thank you, for your concern." I held my hand to my chest "Truly."
"What I mean," he sucked in a breath "How can a guy get a girl to forgive him or more so take him back?" turning the corner I pull him aside with a questionable stare. "You're serious?" he nodded making a stray of hair fall onto his forehand giving it the perfect curl. "Well, I'm not sure. I've never really been in a relationship long enough to have that problem." I had no clue how I could help this poor boy with a broken heart want Nancy back. "Have you thought about what she might feel about the relationship? Why did it slip from her like that?" dropping his head between his shoulders he ran his fingers through his hair before meeting my eyes with his. "Could you possibly help me out? I know it's a lot to ask of you since we did just meet not too long ago but I feel like you'd have the right words to form a good apology."I mean he did drive me home that night and what does he have to be apologizing for? She's the one who drunkenly decided that the relationship between the two needed a break or a real ending. "I can help you but just know I'm not on either one of your sides. I'm just helping someone who went out of their way to drive me home."
Steve smiled "See you later tonight then? let's say around five?" shrugging and raising his brows he waited for an answer to proceed with his plans "Sure, but we have to go to your place because my brother would kill me if he knew you were in our home."
His breath hitched "Right, yeah."
Beginning to walk away he followed me with only his eyes "Tonight at five Harrington!" I called out as his figure soon disappeared behind the wall.

Watching the tall boy walk back and forth from one end of the room to the other he struggled to find the words to describe how he felt during this relationship he had with Nancy. "You don't have any idea what you'd say to someone that you love?"
Stopping dead center he rubbed the bottom of his chin nodding with a sigh "It's harder than it looks."
I look down at the paper lying on the mattress reading what he had come up with during his time alone "Well for starters," holding up the paper "Act like nothing happened Isn't something I'd agree on if I were Nancy." I skimmed the rest as my eyes landed on Buy Flowers. "You think flowers are the way to go in this situation?" shrugging he took the paper, ripping it in half whilst shaking his head. "All girls like flowers, right?"
"I mean sometimes, yeah. Although in this situation you're in I'm not sure flowers are the way to go."
Pulling the chair out from underneath his desk, he straddles it and rests his arms against the back. "I don't get it. I'm apologizing."
