Regulus did not remember breathing one time the whole wedding day, beginning when he seen Viviana descending the aisle. While unconventional, the two had fell in love nonetheless. They were written in the stars, without a doubt - only soulmates could fall in love as fast and as hard as they did.

Vivi, while ecstatic to be marrying Regulus, was happy, but weak and nauseous. She could not focus on the task ahead of her, the wedding, for the throbbing in her head and shaking limbs. She assumed it was something to do with the pregnancy, but being that no one in the church knew she was pregnant she couldn't voice her symptoms.

Regulus watched as Vivi smiled a painful smile. He knew something was wrong immediately. Had she changed her mind? Was she regretting everything? He gulped as Abraxas handed her over.

"Hold onto me, Reg. I don't feel well." Vivi whispered. Regulus immediately clutched onto her arm with one arm, her waist with the other. As the preacher began speaking, Regulus simply stared at Vivi, she closed her eyes and murmured an "I do" weakly.

After the officiant finished, Regulus placed a small kiss on her lips. As he did, Vivi collapsed at his feet. "Viv!" Lucius screamed, running towards his little sister. Regulus had already scooped her up into his arms and ran to the fire place. "St. Mungos!" He yelled, not expecting this to be the way he carried his wife out of the church.

"Mr. Black, after extensive tests we have decided that the cause of Mrs. Black's fainting spell was due to a drop in blood sugar." The doctor explained as Regulus sat next to Vivi's bed, he had asked Vivi's parents, Lucius and Narcissa to step out. Lucius was angry, but understood that Regulus technically was now her healthcare proxy.

"What does that mean? She's never had this problem before." Regulus recalled, thinking back to all the years before she'd never had this issue.

"Well, sometimes women experience temporary diabetes while pregnant." The doctor raised an eyebrow at Regulus.

"Pregnant?" Regulus gasped, looking down at the sleeping Vivi.

"Yes. She's almost five months." The doctor smiled, "Congratulations, Mr. Black. You're going to be a father."

Regulus, as if on instinct, placed a hand on Vivi's stomach. Yes, he had noticed she was gaining weight but she was even more beautiful than before. He didn't mind a few extra pounds. As if on cue, Vivi woke up.

"Regulus?" She groaned, "Merlin, what happened?" She tried to sit up quickly but Regulus stopped her.

"Relax, love." Regulus said, a sense of endearment in his voice that she'd never heard before, even after falling in love.

"What's wrong, Reg?" She questioned. Regulus' eyes were filled with tears. Regulus shook his head, batting his eyes.

Viviana looked around and seen the doctor staring, smiling warmly at the young couple. "He told you." She said simply, not angry. Just voicing understanding of the situation. Regulus nodded and smiled a wide smile, all of his pearly white teeth showing.

"Parents." He mumbled, trying to hold back tears. Viviana had never doubted Regulus' love for her, but she had her doubts about raising a child with a death eater. In that moment, she knew no matter where his loyalty lied in regards to dark magic - she and this baby came first. She never doubted Regulus again.

"Yeah." She smiled, crying herself by this point. Her family entered the room and Viviana shared the good news, wincing slightly as she said the word "pregnant". She did not watch her father's face. She watched one person only: Lucius.

His hands clenched tightly at his sides and his face turned, if possible, even whiter. He took a step forward, as if he was going to do something to Regulus. He was froze in his tracks by Narcissa, once again, grabbing his bicep.

Noticing the tension, Narcissa coughed. "Me too." She said shyly. Everyone's mouth fell open.

Viviana and Regulus lived in 12 Grimmauld Place with his parents. His father felt it was best. Viviana couldn't say she was exactly pleased with the arrangement, but was just happy to be with Regulus. As everything grew rounded and wider and she became more emotional, Regulus did also. Viviana being pregnant with his child, feeling it kick, put everything into perspective. Was raising a child under supervision of the Dark Lord something he really wanted to do?

Of course it was. It was the whole reason for this marriage. He had fell in love with Viviana, but neither could admit that the marriage was not planned as a benefit toward pureblood lineage.

Viviana tried to stay out of Regulus' "job". She let him do what he needed to do and honestly, just pretended he wasn't a death eater at all. She stayed at 12 Grimmauld Place and was watched with a protective eye by Kreacher, who, fiercely loyal to Regulus, was also insanely protective of the life in Vivi's stomach.. and Vivi.

Vivi couldn't deny she enjoyed Kreacher's company. She was on speaking terms with Walburga but their relationship was less than ideal; Viviana kept her opinions about muggle born witches and wizards to herself and tried her best to blend into the family... for Regulus and their baby.

Regulus was out once more on a mission. Kreacher usually always brought Vivi lavender tea, as it helped her sleep. Sometimes she wondered if he'd do the same if she wasn't pregnant, but it didn't matter - she enjoyed the gesture either way. Unusually, it was midnight and Kreacher still had not came to their room with the tea.

"That's odd." Vivi mumbled to herself. Regulus had always bragged on what a wonderful house elf Kreacher was and she agreed; it was unusual for him not to be punctual.

At some time during the night, Vivi dozed off. It was hard knowing her husband was who knows where doing who knew what, with who knew who. But, she was exhausted. Growing a child was hard.

"Vivi, vivi." A gently voice shook Viviana awake. Her eyes shot open, slightly annoyed that she was awoken.

"Reg? What's wrong?" Vivi's annoyance quickly faded when she seen the look on Regulus' face.

"Kreacher's been hurt. This wrong Viv, all of this is so wrong." He sniffled. "We can't let him win."

Viviana had insisted on allowing Regulus to let her help, but he refused. Regulus, who honestly, always gave Vivi what she wanted, stood firm in this. Vivi supposed she understood, she was pregnant after all. Very pregnant. "Any day now." Walburga kept telling her. Vivi hoped that whatever Reg was doing, he stayed safe and that it was all over by the time this baby came into the world. She wanted them to be a normal family.

They never got that chance. Regulus defiance against Voldemort and determination to raise his baby a decent human being, in the end, was what killed him. Kreacher never revealed what happened to Regulus, especially not to Vivi. He only let Vivi know that he had died and that loved Vivi and their baby more than anything.

Vivi was visiting Lucius and Narcissa when she got the news and with it, Vivi went into labor. She gave birth at the Manor to a beautiful baby girl. The spitting image of her father. She named her Vida. It meant life and dearly loved, dearly loved by both her mother and her father.

The night after Vida was born, Vivi sat out. With Vida in her arms, and Lucius distracted by the birth of his own son, Draco. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she'd finish the task Regulus had began: raise their baby to believe that all wizards and witches were equal and to kill Voldemort, even if she died trying.
