Charlie awoke to a cat licking her face, she jumped up and looked around, not even realizing she'd dozed off. Pulling her sweater tightly around her, she shivered and looked at her watch. 15 till midnight. She couldn't stay out here all night, she'd freeze to death.  Charlie longed to be in George's arms, listening to his obnoxiously loud snores that now, she couldn't sleep without. The only option she could see was the Burrow; maybe Molly would have some insight on how to fix this mess.

"Fred worked awfully hard.." she heard from a distance as she floo'd with a pop. Who was Molly up talking to this late?

"Who is that?" Molly's voice questioned, the person she was conversing with didn't reply. "Charlotte?" She said quickly, coming over to a shivering Charlie with a tear stained face. Charlie still didn't know George was there.

"Molly." She sobbed, "I've made a mess. A big huge mess." She buried her face into Molly's shoulder and sobbed, not seeing George come from the kitchen. Before Molly could speak, Charlie continued. "He hates me. George hates me. Molly, I wish it'd been me. I've wished it everyday since the battle. Oh, Molly I would've took Fred's place in an instant." Molly rubbed her brown hair and shushed her like she was rocking one of her babies, Charlie continued to sob. George nodded his head for his mum to loosen her grip on Charlie, Molly stepped back as Charlie rubbed her eyes - still unaware of George's presence. Two long, strong arms wrapped around Charlie's body and pulled her close. She's recognize that smell anywhere. Her head shot up to meet George's face.

"George, I-" she stammered but George pulled her closer.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, kissing the top of her head softly. "Charlie, I'm so sorry."

"No, George, I'm sorry- if I'd had time, if I could've traded his place I would have - George I miss him so much." She sobbed, Molly dabbed her eyes quietly behind them.

"No, no, don't say that. I couldn't imagine my life without you, either." George's voice sounded like his own for the first time in two weeks. Fred would be so angry with him for how he'd treated Charlie - he was so proud of Fred for protecting his girl, but missed him so much. "I miss him too."

"I miss you, too, George." Charlie said, pulling back to meet his gaze.

"I've been horrible, haven't I?" He chuckled.

"Fred would be in fits." Charlie smiled and kissed George's lips softly.

"I love you, George. We will never get over him, but we have to learn to live our lives again." George nodded in agreement and gave Charlie another kiss, happy to have her in his arms.

"He'll never leave you." Molly said softly, warranting both of them to look at her. "I feel him everyday." She smiled.
