I dreamed that I find myself flying in the air. When I say flying, I don't mean like airplane flying; I mean like flying with sixteen foot wings that are a brilliant shade of blue. I was enjoying myself and enjoying the view until something caught my eye. I glanced down to see what appeared to be a loop and I found myself plummeting down to a terrifyingly familiar landscape. I was lucky to have landed in the bushes that were next to the loop, and I was luckier that I didn't injure anything. I felt something sharp on my back and I realized that my wings are gone. I got to my feet slowly and looked around. "No..." I breathed in horror. I was standing in Green Hill Zone, my mental penitentiary since I was a little girl. I mutter, "I need to leave before the earth quakes again..." I had this dream before. It always becomes a nightmare at this point. I begin to trek my way around the sickeningly bright landscape, the flowers too yellow, the grass too green.
Then I felt something shift below my feet. It was a small tremor, but I knew exactly what was going to happen just moments before it actually did. So I began to run as fast as I could, my feet digging into the checkered turf. I found myself coming at a dead end, the brown, checkered dirt ominous. "No!" I yelled, then I glanced down and noticed cracks were beginning to appear on the ground. The earth rumbled, and I tripped over myself trying to get away from the earthquake.
I sprained my ankle as something gigantic and white flew out of the ground. It looked like a giant, gloved hand. I knew that I needed to leave before things escalated out of hand. I was frozen in terror as the giant hand pulled itself out with a giant, peach colored wrist following behind it. A pair of giant, pointed triangles that were blue and peach in color poked out of the ground. I ran towards the giant triangles and grabbed one tightly. My plan was suicidal at best, but it was better than nothing. I screamed as I continued moving up, realizing my mistake too late. I knew that it was only a nightmare, but that didn't make it less terrifying. I realized that I grabbed what appeared to be a cat ear.
I knew that the thing coming out of the ground was not a cat, but instead, a hedgehog that was a beautiful shade of cobalt. I was going higher, and more of whatever came out of the ground revealed itself. First I see razor sharp spikes that are the color of cobalt. Then I saw a peach muzzle. Then two pairs of thin, peach colored arms propped up the creature I was balancing on. Then the giant gloved hands pushed the creature out of the ground, revealing a pair of cobalt legs that would make Jesse Owens green with envy. I glanced down to take a look at the creatures feet. It wore red shoes with a white band. The gold buckle gleamed wickedly in the sunlight. "Son of a bitch. Not this dream again." I yelled, the panic threatening to overwhelm me. I felt the thing I was standing on lift its head up, and I lost my footing. I screamed as I fell down the muzzle of the creature that I was standing on, then I scrabbled to grab something... anything. I was too late as I landed on the peach muzzle. The black nose gleamed as if it was polished obsidian, and I grabbed it. I made the mistake of glaring at two, gigantic green eyes with irises and pupils that are about the size of a city bus. I heard it... HIM laughing at me. If I wasn't scared shitless, I would have been laughing too and admiring how beautiful the setting was. The sun was high on a clear blue sky, the grass glowed like emeralds, and HIS head gave me the best view of the landscape since he was gigantic.
My grip was slipping, and I knew where the next stop was going to be: his mouth. I tried to hold on, but my grip finally slipped. I screamed as I fell. I landed on something soft, and before I could identify what I landed on, I found myself being tossed in the air as if I was a toy meant to be thrown. I screamed again, knowing exactly what was happening. I glanced down, which was a huge mistake. His mouth was open, as if he was going to eat me. I screamed again, making my defiance towards the giant blue hedgehog heard, "NOT TODAY, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, YOU BLUE BASTARD!" I screamed this just as I landed in his mouth. I landed on his tongue, and I knew that he was going to bite down on my flesh. I hear something that sounded like "It's Time to Die" by DA Games playing as his teeth closed in on me...
