Kiara kept speaking as Mori do her job as a Reaper, Making Mori have more intention to slay Kiara

“ oh c'mon!~ ”

“ Shut up sh-tty bird! ”

The argument kept going on and on till the end of the day and till Mori's shift was over, both of them sat down in a mountain top, resting, and relaxed, finally, Kiara stopped talking.

“ Say, Kiara, What about we do somethin' with your bruise on your wing there ”

Mori then held Kiara's left wing but Kiara backed off once again

“ N-no, don't, I'll fix it myself uhh... ”

Kiara stopped and realized that Mori hasn't told Kiara her name yet.

“ Hey, you haven't told me your name yet.. ”

“ Oh right, The name's Calliope Mori, Death-sensei's First apprentice, I kill people and steal their souls and whatnot ”

Mori spoke, then Kiara grinned.

“ can I call you Calli? Callllliiiiiiiii~~  ”

Mori slowly regrets introducing herself to Kiara

“ guh... This bird.. here lend me fix your wing in a jiffy ”

Mori said then grabbed the phoenix then slowly held Kiara's injured wing, Mori slowly placed and wrapped a bandage around her injured wing, Mori stood up and said goodbye to Kiara then left her in the mountain top

“ bye calli!!~ ”

“ Yeah, sure, bye stupid Bird ”

As Mori exits the surface and enters the underworld, Kiara waves her other wing at her as Mori enters the underworld

“ Guh.. ”

Mori then rests in her home then finishes another bottle of red wine as she wait for tomorrow to come

Years passed like days, Months passed like an hour, Mori never felt as usual as always, and it seems like her Regular reaping shift came back to normal, not until one day when she came to the surface and saw a girl on a hood holding a dead bird on her hands as the girl's hair, glowed in front of Mori

The girl immediately familiarized Mori's appearance then spoke

“ Calli! ”

Mori was surprised when she heard the call from the girl, she took a closer look on her to remember who she was, but gave up

“ I'm sorry, who are you? ”

“ It's me!, Kiara! ”

The moment Kiara said her name Mori backed off slightly as she was more surprised of realizing it was Kiara, she took another close look and notice the feathers behind Kiara's ears, it reminded her of the feathers Kiara had on her wings when she was a phoenix

“ Wait wait, how the heck did you even had a human body? ”

Kiara then stood up and showed her the dead bird in her hand

“ This was the past me!, As soon as I came back to life, this was what I saw next to me! Though its turning to ashes now— ”

Mori cuts Kiara's explanation then questioned

“ Wait wait, You came back to life? ”

“ Uh.. Yes.. I did.. ”

Kiara answered

“ Calli, Im a Majestic Phoenix remember? ”

Kiara added

“ That makes more sense now.. ”

Mori said as she held her chin

“ What do you mean Calli? ”

Kiara asked Mori confusingly

“ That's why Death-sensei and I can't capture your soul, cause you can come back to life after dying ”

Kiara then understood what Mori was saying but then Mori slowly facepalmed herself while saying

“ Does this mean I have to deal with you everytime you F-cking die? ”

Kiara then smiled at Mori

“ Now now Calli, I know you'll get the hang of it Don't Worry!~ ”

Mori then Looked at her and said

“ Yeah, for you, Well, I guess it makes sense, I like killing people and whatnot and you look good to be my scythe tester ”

“ hehe, see? You're already sound like you're gonna have fun ”

Mori then glares at Kiara

“ I'm gonna have fun indeed ”

Kiara slowly backed off little by little

“ n-now now Calli, I'm not gonna die yet, right? ”

Mori then looks away as a sign of forgetting that what Kiara said was true

“ Oh right, whatever, Welp, I'mma go do my shift now bird. So yeah ”

Mori spoke as she walks off, Kiara then waves behind her and spoke

“ Okayyyy! Bye Calli!~ See you soon! ”

“ ...guh, This bird.. ”

However, After Years since they last saw each other, Mori came to visit Kiara, which means it's time for her life to end once again, She then sees Kiara in a small forest near where she last came back to life and formed into a human, Mori didn't really had time to talk so she walked to Kiara

“ Hi Calli!~ ”

“ Ey. ”

Mori then swings her scythe towards her as Kiara smiles and spoke, the moment the scythe hits her body

“ See you soon... ”

Once the scythe went through Kiara, she smiled to Mori as blood drip down from her mouth

“ ..Calli ”

Mori's eyes slightly widened as she smiled back at her without noticing as she spoke

“ Sure bird. ”
