I woke up the next day with a pounding headache. I went to climb out of bed only to be held down by a strong arm wrapped around my waist. My eyes widened in fear as I turned around only to see Jake. His hear was ruffled up and he was snoring quietly.

I looked down to see I was only in one of my shirts and some panties. What the hell happened last night. I needed some answers.

"Jake," I shook him.

"Hmm??"

"Jake wake up," I said.

He raised up, looking at me with a confused look on his face.

"Dawn the sun has barely even came out yet. Go back to sleep," he said, snuggling in closer to me and wrapping himself back in the warm blankets. I rolled my eyes, looking down to find my dog still asleep in his dog bed.

"What happened last night?" I asked, laying back down.

"Good question. All I know is we finished off a whole bottle of vodka by ourselves and you ended up throwing up. Then you started trying to strip out of your clothes so I put you to bed," he said, his face resting against my shoulder.

"Ohh great. How classy," I said sarcastically causing him to let out a little laugh.

"Oh and we made out," he mumbled nonchalantly.

"What the hell?" I asked before turning to stare at him.

I can't believe that I kissed my best friend. This could ruin things. That's one of the only reason I've never really tried to take our relationship farther. I couldn't bear losing Jake, he was my rock.

"You don't remember anything..?" He asked sounding nervous.

"What else happened?"

"Nothing," he said quickly.

"Jake I can tell when you are lying. Please just tell me," I begged giving him the puppy dog eyes.

"I practically confessed my love for you," he said quietly, before letting out a short laugh. My eyes widened and I didn't say anything, just staring at him.

"I can't believe I was stupid enough to think you would actually like me back like that,"he said, with a pained look on his face.

Jake was really difficult for me to read when I first met him. Now that I knew him so well and had been his closest friend for the past few years, I could practically read him like an open book.

"That's not true," I said grabbing his face and forcing him to look at me.

"Then why is this so difficult?"

"Jake you got a chance to have a second mate. People hardly ever get that chance. It means something. You won't be able to resist that bond and eventually you won't be happy with being with me. Also I can't have this ruining our friendship," I said grabbing his hand.

"I don't care, I choose you. You mean everything to me. I'm in love with you,"he insisted.

"You don't know what you are saying. Jake please just think about this," I pleaded.

"I've thought about it for two years. You're all I want," he growled, grabbing my chin and forcing me to look him in the eyes. He was a very stubborn man.

He pressed his lips against mine and I couldn't help the way my body responded to him. I kissed him back. I felt bad for his mate, but something about this boy had me unable to resist him. I was comfortable around him and he never failed to make me smile.

He started trailing kisses down my neck. I moaned while putting my hands in his hair, before tugging hard. He groaned, before sucking on a certain spot. I felt like the whole world stopped moving.
