[DAWN'S P.O.V.]

"Dawn seriously lets not do this" Ash yelled from behind me. "Lets not do what Ash, Fight? Well maybe if you werent such a douche bag then we wouldnt!" I screamed as the people on the side walk looked at us. "Oh im the douchebag?. what did I do now?" He asked, irritated. "Everything Ash!!! EVERYTHING" I screamed at him, turning around and getting in his face. He took a few steps back with a hurt look on his face. "I'm sorry, I didnt realize you felt that way" he whispered, before he turned around the other way. I watched as he left and I felt guilty. He didnt really even do anything. Why am I acting like this? I have to say sorry, I turned and started walking home as it started raining. Great!! Just freaking great, some rain is exactly what I need on a bad day walking home!!

I sent multiple threat messages to my so called best friend. I'm very mad at her and I dont think we will be on speaking terms until she brings me a million donuts. When I got home, I slammed the door and stormed into the livingroom where I saw both of my parents sitting on the couch with their arms crossed, serious looks on their face. 'Uh-oh' I thought as I tryed walking backwards out of the room. "Dawn Marie Kury get in here young lady" My mom said acting all stern. I rolled my eyes and walked back in the room, plopping down in a chair and putting my feet on the coffee table which my mother slapped down and glared at me. "Do not put your feet on my coffee table"She said. "Okay so whats up?" I said popping the 'P'.

"Dont act like you dont know! Getting detention on your first day of school, I dont know, SKIPPING DETENTION" She yelled the last part and I winced. My mother may look like a sweet old lady, but believe me you do not want to get on her bad side. "Mom I'm sorry and it wont happen again" I said and she smiled. "alright I love you and im about to go make a pie"She said sweetly and skipped out of the room. "Bipolar"I grumbled and my dad cracked up laughing. "Always has been" He said and my mother yelled, "I can hear both of you!! No pie for either of you" She yelled. My father and I pouted and then cracked up laughing again.

[ASH'S P.O.V.]

I shot hoops over and over, trying to make the pain go away. I usually like to distract myself with sports since Dawn left, it usually made me feel better. It wasnt working this time though. I shot a three-pointer, but all I could see was her face. It was flushed red, which it usually does when she is angry or really embarrassed. She was breathing heavy and was glaring at me. I blinked to see I had missed and the ball hit the backboard rolling to the ground. I was about to pick it back up, but someone grabbed it before me. I looked up to see Dawn dribbling the ball and smiling at me. "Sorry" She whispered, looking at her feet. Her cheeks turned a light pink, she was blushing. "For what?" I asked. "being a buttwhole"She muttered and I laughed. She threw the ball at me, crossing her arms and smiling at me. "Dont laugh when I'm trying to apologize"She said, childishly. "haha okay One-on-one? I asked holding the ball out for her to take. "alright your on" she said, smiling.

We played for hours as the sun started going down and the stars and moon came out. I layed on the concrete and she layed beside me as we both stared at the stars. I looked over at her to see her eyes shining as she stared at the sky. She is so beautiful, always was. I honestly have no idea why I ever said that awful stuff to her when we were younger. "Im sorry" I whispered and she looked at me surprised. "for what?" she whispered. "Everything" I said as I stared into her beautiful blue eyes. "let me take you on a date?" I asked and she smiled. "Only If you can make a half court shot" she said. "Okay deal" I said sticking out my hand that she shook. Tingles went up my arm and I smirked. She obviously doesnt know that I have played basketball almost all my life. We both got up and she stood on the side as I got positioned half court. I shot and the ball went flying threw the air as I turned and smirked at her. I heard a 'swoosh' from behind me and just smiled as her dropped open. "tomorrow night at 8:00, I will pick you up"I whispered in her ear as I left. I was so excited. I had my best friend back and maybe I could get my mate back too.
