Barry was extremely nervous as he stood infront of the school gates. Shadow had set everything up for him but Barry had yet to see what he had done.
"Barry!"
Barry turned around and saw Gru and Shadow. Gru was skipping towards him as horrifically as ever and shadow was dragging his feet along the floor.
"Hey guys!" Barry greeted,
"let me show you what I've set up" Shadow took Barry by the hand and began to drag him into the school. Barry didn't object and let shadow drag him across the floor like a corpse.
The stairs were a bit painful for Barry but shadow had dragged Barry up to the roof
"what do you think?" Shadow asked
Barry looked around him at the decorations. Green fairylights were strung up everywhere, yellow and green frosted cupcakes were on a table and there were hanging decorations of cutouts of shreks face everywhere.
Barry loved it. He would confess to shrek here. Shrek would love it. They would horizontal dance on the table later.
"shadow.. I-I love it!" Barry's eyes filled with tears and he gave shadow a hug.
Gru put his arms around the two and held them to his triangle body. Barry hugged him and he hugged Barry. Everyone hugged for a long time.
An hour past and gru finally let the two go. Barry wrote up a note to put in shreks locker. It read:
Hello shrek,
This is a love note. Please come to the roof after school to meet me if you are interested. I am simply buzzing awaiting your reply.
Love from,
Your secret admirer <3
With a little bit of hyping up from his friends, Barry started his walk to Shreks locker. He looked out of the large windows and admired the grand hallways of the school.
Barry turned the final corner and arrived at the lockers. He searched for Shreks and slid the note in. All he had to do how was wait for shrek to come up to the roof.

"What's all this then?"
Barry heard shreks booming Scottish voice call out. Barry nervously stepped out from behind one of the many life-size cardboard cutouts of shrek.
"H-hey shrek" Barry mumbled
"Barry," shrek began in his sexy Scottish accent "are you my secret admirer?"
Barry felt his heart beat quicker
"y-yes, I've liked you for a long time now" Barry mumbled doing 👉👈 with his bee hands.
Shrek took some steps forward and admired the decorations.
"Barry... This looks beautiful" shrek twirled around looking at the him themed banners.
"shrek..." Barry stepped forwards towards shrek "will you be my boyfriend?"
Shrek paused and blushed a deep green.
"Barry..."
That's never a good sign. Using someone's name like that. Barry prepared himself for heart ache.
"of course Barry, I've loved you since we first met"
Barry smiled a bright smile with his freaky human-like bee teeth. Shrek placed his big green hand on the human sized bee's cheek and drew him in for a kiss.
Barry melted when he felt the ogres lips meet his. It was pure euphoria, bliss.
The ogre pulled away and they locked eyes.
"do you want to go on a date with me tomorrow?" shrek asked neevously
"I would love to" Barry smiled
