Barry's Date

Barry was nervous. He'd never been on a date before. Shadow had come over with gru to help him pick something to wear. Shadow gave him a nice supreme hoodie and Nike thigh highs, no trousers though. Barry hates trousers with a burning passion. You do not want to talk about trousers around Barry, trust me. Shadow had had to shoo away gru from smothering the bee with pink glitter, gru fled into the shadows and skittered up a wall with his glitter. He would have to disperse it elsewhere.
"you look good in that barry" Shadow smiled at his work
"thank you shadow" Barry looked down at the over-sized white supreme hoodie with the signiture red and white rectangle logo. Shrek would like it.

The door bell rang

I say rang but it was just shrek yelling "BARRY. I AM HERE FOR OUR DATE"

Barry skipped down the hall in a bee fasion.

He opened the door and saw shrek. He looked beautiful. He wore a long flowing dress. It was a gorgeous white but the tip of the skirt had been dragging in the mud as it had accumulated many things like twigs, mud, insects, a bagel

Barry's bee face blushed a deep red
"shrek... You look beautiful"
Shrek smiled coyly
"thank you Barry, you look handsome as ever" he blew a kiss at the bee
Barrys heart skipped a beat, a dangerous feat that could lead to an early death but Barry didn't care.
"shall we leave for our date shrek?" Barry asked
"yes" shreks Scottish accent sent shivers to Barry's stinger

"Tonight is the night" Barry thought

They arrived at the carnival at 11pm. There was large rides, fun games, flashing lights, bright colours and everything Barry could want for a first date.

Shrek took Barry's bee hand in his large one and led Barry to their first ride.

"let's do this one Barry!" shrek squeaked excitedly, jumping up and down, shaking the ground, a few people fell over.

Barry smiled and let shrek lead him onto the ride. It was the biggest ride in the carnival.

As they put their harnesses on, Barry looked up at shrek. He loved everything about the green man and the lighting made him look beautiful... His eyes shimmered, his skull shiny, his clothes tattered. Absolutely gorgeous.

The ride was fast and winding but it was so so fun! Barry and skrek went on many rides and even had passionate premarital eye contact on the ferris wheel.

But soon it was their time to depart...

Barry held shrek close and shrek hugged Barry tightly, probably breaking one of Barry's ribs if the loud crunch was any indication.

"I love you Barry" shrek whispered sadly, knowing he was departing from the boy he loved most

"I love you too shrek" Barry returned, wiping tears from his Boyfriends eyes.

They slowly let go of eachother and went their separate ways.
Barry, into the passenger seat of shadow's car.
And shrek, deep into the forest.

The ride was a quiet one.
"soooooo," Shadow began, "how was your date?"
Barry looked out the window, brooding about his departure.
"it was really nice... I wish it could've lasted longer though..."
"that's good," Shadow smiled at him "he's a good man, that shrek, keep him close and cherish your moments with him... Everything comes to an end at some point"

Barry just smiled looking into the forest. I wonder how shrek is feeling right now...
