"Forget morally right! This is life or death!"
"I know! I just... Fine. We-We'll do it."
"Now you're making me feel guilty."
"Don't. Here, tell me this, Techno. Do you truly love me?"
"Scarra, I have never looked at someone the way I look at you. You're the first woman to have broken down my stubborn walls and gotten a look at who I really am. You understand me, you respect me, and you care for me. You have treated me with utmost kindness. You have treated me with the most love I have ever felt and I will spend the rest of my life returning it. To you and only you. Don't doubt for one second that I don't love you." I smiled and he cupped my face. "I love you." He kissed me without letting me reply. I leaned into it and we held on.
"You done eating her face?" Dream asked and we pulled apart with a scream. He was bending so he was at our height and staring at us. "What did you decide?" He asked and Techno and I looked at each other. "How about I help you out here with info?" Dream sat on an armchair and looked at us. "You two will just have the title. That's to everyone else. But you two can still be dating. Plus, if you're married, you don't have to pay taxes."
"Not helping," Phil said. "Let me parent here for you," Phil sat on the coffee table in front of us. "You're both young, yes. The hard part of relationships is that you have to commit. If you two get married, you have to commit to each other. Forever. Think about the other person here. You could be selfish and stay dating, hoping the other gets taken, or you could care for each other and do what's best for them." Techno looked at me and I gave a slight nod.
"We're getting married then," Techno said.
"Yes!" Dream said. Phil and Dream left us for the night and Techno and I went to bed.
"I'm sorry. I never should have dragged you into any of this."
"Techno, don't start this. I'll throw a brick at you," I said.
"Okay." He stopped and we slept.
The next day, Phil came over with rings and Ranboo who had a book and quill.
"You'll need these rings. Silver for Scarra, gold for Techno. Scarra's has your name on it and you have hers," Phil told Techno.
"A married person is supposed to confirm the wedding happened. So just put your names where they need to be," Ranboo said. We did and it was official.
"At least the ring's not bad," I said.
"No taxes," Techno smiled. He went serious for a second and gave me a hug. He held on for a little too long, but it was nice to be in his embrace. "I'm gonna go hang out with Phil for the day. Will you be okay?"
"Mh-Hm." He left and I had a busy day. I was just running around doing errands mainly and was tired when I got home. I didn't have the energy to go up to the room, so I slept on the couch. I soon heard the door open and shut, but couldn't bring myself to wake up.
"Looks like you were busy," Techno chuckled in a whisper. He took his cloak off and laid it over me. "Let's get you up," he lifted me bridal style and I snuggled closer to him. He took me to our room and set me on the bed. He took the cloak off and put the blanket over me.
The next day, Techno made breakfast and I obviously fed his ego. I sat on the couch to read a book after and got cold. It was snowing outside so we couldn't do anything outside. Techno threw his cloak over me and it messed up my hair.
"Techno!" I whined and fixed my hair. I held onto the cloak and he watched me with a small smile. "What?" I asked.
"I didn't say anything," Techno said. He took his crown off and put it on me, too. It slipped off my head a little so it was tilted, but it was cute. He walked off to do whatever he does and ended up going to the nether. After a couple hours, he came back and pulled me to go with him. "Come on," he pulled me through a few biomes and we got to a family of pigmen. To the side, there was a kid alone. "It's an orphan," Techno said. He pulled me over and talked to it. "Hi," he said in piglin but the pigman stayed quiet.
"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers," he whispered in piglin.
"Where are your parents?"
"Dad told me to wait here. He said he'd come back." Techno looked at me and then back at the kid.
"When?"
"What's your name?"
"Jonathan," the kid said.
"Let's take him," Techno told me in English.
"Okay," I nodded.
"How about you come with us?" Techno asked him in piglin.
"Okay," Jonathan said and walked to Techno who picked him up and held him to his side. Jonathan pulled at his hair a little and looked at me. He reached his arms out to me and I took him. He played with my golden hair and snuggled close to me. We walked back to my house and Techno wanted to have a talk with me as Jonathan ate some food.
"Why did you want to take him?" I asked.
"I was around his age. I was happy with my family and, uh... They left me. They told me they'd be back and they never came back. Phil found me, he raised me, and... now I'm here. It's why I hate orphans."
"Why didn't you ever tell me?" I asked.
"Because I hate the memories. I have to be the one to tell him that we're adopting him."
"Okay," I said. I stood by the door as he sat with Jonathan.
"Okay, I need to talk to you," Techno told him.
"Okay," Jonathan said. So Techno told him his whole childhood story.
