"You don't have to do that I'm capable of walking alone." He chuckles and smiles a little. "I don't mind I was headng home anyway now come on."

He takes my hand and drags me down the sidewalk. "So tell me about yourself."

I giggle a little then stop. Wow never done that before. "There's nothing to tell."

"How bout a favorite color?"

"Purple." He raises an eyebrow before turning a corner.

"Green if you were wondering." I nod my head and sigh as I see my house coming up. The green paint on the outside was chipping away and the grass looked really dead. "Thanks for walking me home."

"Ditto."

I wave and walk away towards the entrance to my house and then I realize that if I run now no one will get me. I'll be free somewhere else. I run in and go up to my room lucky that both of my so called guardians had to work. In my room I empty my school bag then pile clothes my charger, my phone, and my essentials from the bathroom Into it. As well as the $700 I had been saving for a while.

I look out the window to see Jake stairing at me. I smile a sad smile before walking out the door and down to the kitchen. This is the hard part I knew that David had a 67 purple dodge impala but the problem was the keys were always hidden in new places. I look through the cupboards not caring when plates or cups fall. Finally I go to Davids office and look through his drawers. His bottom drawer is locked I kick it loving the new found courage. Again and again I kick the locked drawer until it finally falls open.

Looking inside I see the car keys and a manilla folder with my name on the tab.

"Shit. Well this is ganna be fun."
