THE LAST DAY OF DECEMBER had arrived, meaning Aurora was off to Potter's Manor for the New Years party.

Aurora swung her bag, consisting her necessities over her shoulder as she put on her shoes. She was wearing a white oversized shirt that she tucked under her jeans, and a cardigan hanging loosely on her shoulders.

She went downstairs and saw her parents getting ready for their New Years date.

"You look nice, mum." Aurora said as she walked past them to get her wand she left on the kitchen counter, and came back.

Vienná smiled at her daughter's compliment.

"Why thank you, Rory. Are you sure you don't want us to apparate you there?" the woman ask and Aurora shake her head.

"No, it's fine. I'll just take the Knight Bus. It's been awhile since I last rode those." the girl replied.

Seeing as Aurora is still underage to apparate, her only choice was to take the Knight Bus, which was faster than the muggle bus.

"Alright.." Vienná turned to her husband and straightened his tie.

Aurora looked over her brother who was eating the candy on the Christmas sock.

"Did Santa really came last night?" Aurora whispered to her father, who chuckled at her question.

"It's just a myth. I was the one who sneak down last night to place candies and money on the Christmas socks." Nathan informed, smiling at his son.

"Then why enlighten him?" Aurora asked.

Nathan chuckled and look at his daughter oddly.

"Come on, Rory. You also believed me when I said a pumpkin head man would haunt you when you don't carve them pumpkins during Halloween."

Aurora rolled her eyes as she remembered that. She was 12 when her father told her that if you don't make carve pumpkins, a pumpkin head man would haunt you. She was so scared that she carved twenty pumpkins at Halloween.

It was a laughing sight for their parents.

"I'll be going now. Have fun." she hugged her parents.

"You too, dear." Vienná kissed her daughter's forehead, before she head outside the house.

Aurora walked down the street, admiring some new coffee shop and bakeries that were established when she was at Hogwarts.
