THERE ARE ONLY FEW exciting things that happened in Aurora's life,
The day she got her Hogwarts letter...
The day she first rode Hogwarts Express..
The day she was sorted into Gryffindor...
And the day she lost a bet with her friends and was force to explore the Forbidden Forest at night, and met a werewolf who almost shred her to pieces if her legs didn't run as fast for her life...
The memory was a nightmare that kept replaying in her dreams. Till now, she found herself waking up from the constant memory breathless and sweating.
It's been haunting her since third year that it happened. Now, she was finally in fifth year and the nightmare has yet to cease.
It was repeating inside her head like a broken recorder.
And now, it didn't surprise her that she woke up from that dream again, all covered in sweat and out of breathe.
She shake her head and put her hands on her head.
Aurora hated waking up like this, late at night. But she have grown accustomed to it. Perhaps if she didn't went inside the Forbidden Forest that day, she wouldn't have this repeating nightmares.
Because of the horrific events that happened in third year, she didn't take classes that involved going inside the forest, such as the Care of Magical Creatures.
She wiped the sweats away and fan her body and sat up her bed, putting on her shoes.
And if there was one thing that could make her nightmares go away, it would be stargazing.
These sleepless nights happened occasionally like two times a week. And it was becoming a basic thing for Aurora to sneak out the common room and to the Astronomy tower to clear out her mind.
She did just that.
Aurora tiptoed out the common room, wearing only a black hoodie and long sweatpants.
Her knuckles grabbed the knob and opened the door as she entered the Astronomy tower without hesitation, and slowly closing the door behind her, not making a noise.
She flopped down the bench she was used to seating in, and leaned her back to the wall observing the sparkling stars above.
"How pretty.." she breathed.
She was always wondering how the stars could get any more beautiful even though, she was there, suffering from her constant rotten memory.
Aurora closed her eyes and took a very deep breathe, before exhaling it out again.
She fluttered her eyes open and still saw how the stars sparkles. She turned to her side and almost jumped out her skin when she notice another figure sitting next to her.
She didn't even heard someone walk in and sat next to her in just mere seconds she closed her eyes.
The figure was silent. Also admiring the stars above. Not even acknowledging that he just startled the girl next to her.
The figure was of a boy. With messy brown hair, and hazel coffee eyes. He was wearing a long sleeve warm knitted jumper, he had a scar that seemed to be healing just by his jaw, and his gaze was focused solely on the sky.
Aurora calmed her heart, and sank back to the bench, scooting away a little to make a distance between her and the boy.
She recognizes him.
Frequently saw him around the common room, hanging out with the most mischievous trouble makers of the school. It was hard not to notice the cute boy.
But it was his name she didn't know of.
Aurora saw him around, but didn't knew his name or rather didn't bother ask.
"Sorry for scaring you by the way.." the boy finally spoke, acknowledging the girl beside him, as he turned to her.
His hazel eyes meeting her icy blue ones.
"It's alright." Aurora gave him a light smile.
"Remus Lupin, by the way. You are?" he ask extending his hand.
"Aurora Violet." she smiled, taking his hand and shaking it.
Remus studied the girl's features. She had a platinum blonde hair that seemed long enough to touch her upper waist. A pair of blue icy eyes, a peachy painted lips, and rosy cheeks that seemed to be highlighted in the dark.
Her platinum blonde hair was messily tied into a low ponytail, as strands of it drape over her frame.
They smiled at each other, seemingly lost into each others eyes, before their gaze broke and drifted back up the starry sky.
There was only a half moon, shadowing the clouds that floated around, but there was a galaxy of stars brimming above.
There was something weird between them. Usually Aurora would feel awkward to anyone that randomly sits beside her, but with Remus... she honestly didn't mind.
Whether it was just how the starry sky was so beautiful or something connect between them, Aurora couldn't pin point.
She just assume it was because of how breathtaking the sky was at the moment.
A comfortable silence engulfed them. Aurora didn't find it in herself to ask why he came here late a night. Or why he didn't scold her for being out of bed during curfew, considering he was prefect.
She didn't ask.
Aurora just sat there, enjoying his presence, and the stars.
Somehow, in the matter of seconds. All her nightmares faded away.
