"Are you happy to be back Tiana? I know you missed Chicago a lot when we were away."
"Yeah mom, but i mean it's only been 8 months" Tiana said as she step out of the car and when to the trunk to grab her suitcase. 10 months ago Tiana's dad died in a car accident. Her mother tried to be strong but she couldn't take it so they ended up moving to Ohio for 8 months to get away. It was suppose to be a year but they ran out of money and her mom needed to get her old job back.
"Wow" Tiana mumbled as she opened the front door and looked around. She went upstairs to her room and she was immediately filled with the memories of him. Carl Gallagher.
Before Tiana left, her and Carl were in a serious relationship. They were each other's first everything. First love, first kiss, first time. They spent every second of everyday with each other. After Tiana's mom told her they were moving for a while, neither one of them wanted to do long distance so they mutually broke up and decided that they would pick up where they left off when she got back. It was the hardest thing both of them had ever done, but they knew it was the best thing for their relationship. "Love you, forever" was the last thing they had said to each other.

"I hope you like it, I know my cooking isn't as good as dad's was but-"
"No mom, it's delicious don't worry" Tiana said cutting her mom off. As they ate dinner her mom kept staring at her like she wanted to say something but was scared.
"Just say it." Tiana mumbled as she rolled her eyes.
"I was just wondering if you were going to go over there?"
"I don't know if i should, i mean we weren't suppose to be back this early. I don't wanna scared him- THEM" Tiana almost yelled trying to cover up her mistake.
"Sweetie it's okay, we all know the real reason your scared to go over there is because of Carl." Her mom chuckled, "But i really think your overthinking this, he will be thrilled to see you just go talk to him"
"But what if his feelings changed? Things can change so fast." Tiana said as she stared at the empty seat where her dad use to sit.
"Don't think like that baby, just go talk to him. But he back by 11 you have to go back to school tomorrow" Her mom replied as she kissed Tiana's head and went upstairs.

As Tiana walked across the street towards the Gallagher's house her hands began to sweat. She was so excited to see Debbie, Fiona and the rest of the Gallagher's, they were like her family and she loved them so much. It was seeing Carl that terrified her.
"I don't know why i'm so scared, it's just Carl" she thought as she reached the door. Hesitantly, Tiana knocked on the door. She heard muffled talking and laughed as the door opened to reveal a tall, brown haired girl.
"Hey Fiona!" Tiana said as she opened her arms for a hug.
"Oh my god Tiana!" Fiona yelled with excitement as she hugged Tiana back and then pulled her into the house.
"Tiana!" Debbie screamed as she ran over and practically jumped on her. After saying hi to all of the Gallagher's, Tiana went into to the kitchen to grab a beer. As she closed the fridge she heard someone say her name.
"Tiana?" She turned around and saw the one and only, Carl Gallagher.
"Hey Carl" She said as she made eye contact with him. He looked even hotter than before she left. He had grew his hair out and was wear brown pants, a white shirt, and a red flannel.
"Wow, um when did you get back?" He asked awkardly.
"Couple hours ago" She answered as she struggled to open her beer.
"Give it to me" He said as he took the beer and opened it for her, "You look good"
"Thanks Carl, so do you" Tiana replied as she took a sip of her beer. An awkward silence filled the room as Tiana and Carl stood across from each other not really know what to say. After a couple of minutes the back door opened and a short blonde girl walked in and kissed Carl.
"Hey babe, who is she?" The girl said as she eyed Tiana up and down.
"Um this is Tiana" Carl said nervously as he desperately tried to avoid eye contact with both of them.
"I'm Kylie, Carl's girlfriend" She said sharply as Tiana stood there in shock. She couldn't believe he went and got a girlfriend after saying that he would wait for her.
"I have to go." Tiana said, her voice cracking as she ran to the door.
"Tiana wait-" Carl yelled but was cut off by her slamming the door. He went to follow Tiana but was stopped by someone grabbing his arm.
"Babe stop!" Kylie snapped as she yanked on his arm.
