"Hey Tiana, can we talk?" Carl said as he sat down on the couch next to Tiana.

"Yeah sure." She replied without look away from the tv.

"I just want you to know that you were right. It is more than a pizza place and it always will be. That's where we made so many memories and it means a lot to me. I'm sorry that I told you it didn't and Im sorry that I took another girl there." He said hoping that she would forgive him for everything.

"Yeah, it's whatever." Tiana mumbled.

"Can you please look at me?" Carl said softly. Tiana turned her head and her bright red eyes made contact with his.

"Are you high?" He asked her realizing how small and red her eyes were.

"Yeah" She shrugged.

"Are you fucking serious?" He yelled angrily. He couldn't believe she was high again.

"You act like you don't smoke weed" She scoffed turning her attention back to the tv.

"I don't smoke it every single day!" He yelled as he grabbed her shoulders and turned her body towards him. "I really think you need to be sober for a while."

"Nah, I gotta stay high all the time."

"Why?"

"To keep you off my mind, to keep everything off my mind" She whispered accidentally.

"Shit, i hope he didn't hear that" she thought, but he did.

"What do you mean?" he asked slowly.

"Fuck off Carl" She snapped as she got up and stumbled up the stairs into Debbie's room.

Carl sank into the couch as he grabbed an opened beer bottle off the talk and took a long sip.

"Fuck" He mumbled to himself, "This is all my fault."

"It's 3 pm, is she gonna get up?" Fiona whispered standing in the doorway of Debbie's room were Tiana was still sleeping.

"Probably not" Debbie said. "She does this sometimes."

"What's going on?" Carl asked walking up to his sisters.

"Tiana won't get up again." Debbie answered him pointing to her room.

"Maybe she's bipolar like me." Ian said. "I think it's best if we just leave her alone until she feels better."

Carl sighed as he followed Ian and the rest of the his siblings downstairs. He couldn't stop thinking about what Ian said.
