"Hey" Carl said softly as Tiana sat up holding her head in pain. He hadn't sleep at all that night, instead he stayed up checking her pulse every 20 minutes.
She held her head in pain and looked over at Carl with a confused look.
"Wha-" She started but suddenly ran to the bathroom to throw up. Carl followed her and held her hair as he handed her a glass of water.
"What happened?" She asked him wiping her mouth on a towel.
"You drunk called me last night and when I came to get you, you were running from someone and then your fainted." He answered. "Who were you running from?"
"Tyler he- he tried to rape me." She whispered.
"Im gonna fucking murder him." Carl barked as he clinched his fist in anger. His face softened when he realized Tiana was crying.
"Hey, it's okay your safe now." He said pulling her into a tight hug as she cried into his chest for what seemed like forever.
"Fuck" she mumbled as she wiped her tears quickly. She felt extremely vulnerable in that moment. "I'm so sorry Carl, I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
"No, I'm sorry that I hurt you and made you feel alone." He apologized, rubbing her thigh. "I love you, Tiana."
"I love you too, Carl."
He leaned in to kiss her and she kissed him back without a doubt in the world. When their lips connected it felt like magic, like everything would be okay as long as they had each other.
"I'll be back, stay here with Debbie." He told her as he kissed her head and walked out the back door. He didn't want to leave her but he had to take care of Tyler.
