Alexa's POV

After having lunch, we have finally arrived the most popular place in the fairy kingdom.

"Alexa, you have to put your disguise on." Meredith did this weird magic trick that changed my outfit into a fairy outfit, and made me have this aura of a fairy.

"Much better."

Meredith held my hand and we entered this shop that looks like a salon.

"Good day to you, Mrs. Merlot! My friend and I here need some pampering to do." Meredith said cheerly.

"Oh dear, it's been long since you came here. I see that you've made a new friend here. Hi, what's your name, dear?" the kind fairy asked me.

"My name's Alexa, and I must say you have a wonderful place here." I said looking around. This place definitely gives off a homey feeling and is really lovely.

"Why thank you, dear. Come on! I'll show you to your room." Mrs. Merlot lead the way to the room.

As we walked towards the room, I saw many fascinating things like the way they fix hairstyles with the snap of their fingers.

"Here you go girls! Just wait for the fairies to come in, we're really packed today, but don't worry service is on the way."

After getting our hair and nails done, we headed towards the clothes section.

"Come Alexa! The clothes are on sale today we mustn't miss." I see that Meredith really loves shopping, but of course who wouldn't?

We had an amazing time shopping and dressing ourselves that we didn't realize that the sun is about to set.

"Oh fairy dust! We need to get going. I promised father that we would be going home before the sun sets."

We headed back towards the castle, and hurriedly entered.

"Meredith, what did I tell you? You must be home before the sun sets." The fairy king shook his head, and looked at his daughter disappointedly.

"Father, we forgot about the time because of the fun that we were having." Meredith tried to explain.

"No excuses, just promise me that you won't ever do that again." Meredith and the fairy king continued to talk as they made their way towards the fairy king's office.

"Alexa." I immediately looked towards where the sound of the voice came from, and just as I expected the voice came from my beloved.

He walked towards me, and in every step that he made, I just couldn't help but only hear the loud beating of my heart. Gosh, I missed him. Wait, what did I just say?

Christopher gently placed his hands on my cheeks, kissed my forehead, and whispered the words, I missed you.

Just like the speed of light, sparks filled me. This boy really does things to me that I myself can't explain.

"I see that you and Meredith had fun?" he asked, as he held my hand and lead me towards the dining area.

"Oh yeah, this place is really amazing. Plus, riding that carriage topped the notch." I happily said.

"That's great! I'm glad you had fun, but too bad I wasn't with you." he said pouting his lips. Oh, that's just too adorable that I couldn't help but pinch his cheek.

"Next time, we could go together." I unconsciously said and regretted it after realizing that I said that.

"Aww my beloved, wants me to be with her." Christopher stated annoyingly.

"Ugh! Would you stop that? I didn't say anything." I tried to deny, but failed after hearing Christopher's laugh.

We arrived the dining area and waited for everybody to be there. I sat next to Meredith, who is frowning.

"What happened?" I asked her.

"Father, banned me from using my sword for 3 days." she grumpily answered.

"You use a sword?"

"Oh yeah! And I'm the best at it." Meredith proudly said.

"That's cool. I've always dreamed of using a sword." I wanted to learn, but my father says that it's really dangerous for a girl.

"I'll teach you!" Meredith happily offered.

"Father, can I use my sword now? Alexa wants to learn how. Pretty please." Meredith asked while pleading.

"Fine, you could. But, only if Christopher agrees." The fairy king said while making a face to convince Christopher to not to.

So that's how the fairy king wants to play it huh? Well, two could play that game.

I looked at Christopher and I put my best pitiful face that says please let me use a sword.

Christopher sighed and said, "Fine, you could, but you have to promise me that you'll take care of yourself because for most I don't want you to get hurt."

"Aww stop it guys! I haven't found my mate yet." Meredith said while displaying a whiny face.

The rest of us laughed at her reaction.

...

Christopher's POV

Alexa and I headed off towards the garden after we ate dinner.

"So, how about you, Christopher. What did you do today?" Alexa asked.

"My uncle and I talked about some things about my escape, and planned about the next move that we'll be doing." I replied, sitting down at the swing, then patting the space next to me.

Alexa took my offer and sat down. As I looked at the stars, I caught a glimpse of Alexa staring at me from my peripheral view.

"What's gonna happen now? You escaped your father, and now I'm here making me a target for execution." Alexa sighed.

"I'm going to find a way. I promise." I sincerely said, though the truth is I'm not sure of anything.

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Christopher. I know that you're trying your best to hide from your father, but you have to also think of the other possibilities. So, no. I won't accept any promises from anybody." Alexa looked hurt as she looked at the sky.

Does she hate me that much to not trust me on this? Am I not good enough for her? Do I make her feel as though I'm weak?

"Alexa, why do you not trust me?" I asked her.

She didn't reply.

"I know we've only met, but you need to know that I'll do everything just to be with you. I know that you don't feel the same way as I do about our relationship, but please consider thinking about it. Don't leave me hanging here alone." I told her all my greatest fears in this relationship. If we're truly destined for each other, then might as well be honest with her.

Alexa looked at me with tears on her eyes. She look so broken by the way she looks at me.

"Christopher, you're not alone, but I just want you to know that I don't know what to do, think or feel anymore. I j-just don't want to handle another pain you know? The pain of being left alone." She admitted with a voice so broken.

I held her hands and kissed them. Why must destiny be so cruel to us?

"Alexa, I'm here and I'll forever be here. This is not a simple promise, but this is an oath to you. Because Alexa you'll forever be in my heart." I seriously said while looking at her eyes.

She hugged me and cried at my shoulder, as I held her close to me.

My Alexa, you don't know it yet, but I will always love you no matter what. Always...
