Luke Patterson's Lover // Julie and The Phantoms

Luke's P.O.V

We met this girl Julie. Then we found out we are ghosts. Reggie wants to see what his parents are up to after all these years. We found out it's a bike shack.

We go back to the studio and go through our old stuff. I see a box with Laura's handwriting saying "Leave for whoever new lives here"... Julie is new here. I open it and see a dvd. I find the tv and start playing it. The boys go somewhere. I ignore them and press play.

It's her...

"I hope this is recording... Hello... My name is Laura Wilson. I was in a band called Sunset Curve as a dancer. The band included my brother Bobby and his friends Reggie, Alex and Luke. Sadly his Reggie, Alex and Luke passed away. Luke was my boyfriend. Luke is always here, and is never forgotten... This is for the band I'm going to dance to their new song they didn't perform together at The Orpheum." I miss her voice.

She plays the stereo and starts dancing. I can't help but cry. The song finishes and it ends. I look in the box and see our memo, a t-shirt and some other stuff that has meaning. Not long after I hear screaming. But no one landed. I poof in the house and look. I walked to Julie's room which was Laura's room and no one. I look everywhere I walk to the bathroom and see... her...

Luke - Laura?!

Laura - Luke!?

Luke - What are you doing here?

Laura - I could say the same about you?

Luke - I poofed here when Julie played our music...

Laura - Then I poofed here?

Luke - Not long after I played your dance

Laura - Oh...

Luke - Wait... Come with me.

I take her to the studio.

Laura - Looks different

Luke - Yeah. It's been 25 years... Or...

Laura - I died not long after you guys.

Luke - When and how?

Laura - Like a week after you. I couldn't do it without you so I...

She showed me her arms.

Luke - Oh baby no.

I hugged her tight. We broke down in tears, just sitting there crying. Alex and Reggie come in.

Reggie - Dude. How cool is this.

Alex - Luke?...

I get up and clean myself up.

Alex and Reggie - LAURA?!

Laura - ALEX... REGGIE.

She hugs them.

Alex - How...

Luke - Explain later. Now... I just want her to be in my arms.

Reggie - Understandable.

Laura and I lay on the couch that we pulled out as a bed.

Laura - I miss you.

Luke - I miss you too.

Laura - I miss Bobby too.

Luke - I bet you do.

Laura - Do you think he wished we were back?

Luke - I don't know.

Laura - So, was it the hotdogs?

Luke - Yeah...

We laugh. She starts to fall asleep so I close my eyes. We never got to have this because of Bobby. As much as I wish we could've had a life together, alive. We still can just not alive. We'll just have to see what we can do as ghosts.
