Chapter 10 - Mount Hokrabi

Ace, Zenil, Kai and Leonard walked slowly to the entrance. Suddenly, the four froze as what they saw. Territory filled with broken houses, no people around the place, left a lot of leftover clothes around. What on Earth is going around here? Kai thought as they roamed around the territory. Kai gave Zenil a doubtful face as Zenil tried to analyze its surroundings. "Hey, Zen. Are you sure we are in the right place?" Kai questioned anxiously. Zenil didn't reply though he pointed to the banner. Kai followed to where Zenil pointed and it is true, it is the Ebonyfield. Leonard did not like this territory, he kept following Ace around the territory as Ace took random wood from those broken houses, maybe he could find answers.

Kai did the same as the others, he wondered about this territory, "Hey.. what do you guys think happened here?" he asked, rather scared. "The Likowns must have attacked this place I guess? Did you two find anything yet?" Zenil answered as he glared at both Kai and Ace. The two shook their heads. "Not at all, it is just a boring territory with no clues," Ace murmured as he threw away the wooden. So sudden, the wood that Ace threw fell on something, causing it to vibrate. The three felt goosebumps as they felt the vibrate. "Ace, what did you do?" Zenil asked furiously as he knew that he threw the wood away to that pile. Ace shook his head quickly, "Whatever do you mean? I was just throwing wood and this happened!" he explained nervously. "No time to argue and did you two realize that?" Kai asked anxiously, his body shook with fear, so as everyone.

Just at the same time, a huge light seems to come from those piles of wood. "Guys, look! The light is so bright, let's check it out. Perhaps, it could be the crystal," Kai insisted, running towards the light and began to remove the woods away. "Silly Kai, how can you tell that it is the crystal?" Zenil questioned with doubt, running towards busy Kai. "I am pretty sure about it. Come on help me!" Kai exclaimed, still removing the woods with his power. From that Zenil decided to help Kai, the same as Leonard as he ran towards them. Leonard used his bare teeth to remove it, giving them all a growl.

As for Ace, he is as clueless as a paper. He stood there confused on how he did it. Zenil recognized this and sighed, "Silly Ace, come do help us." Not only Zenil, Leonard frowned and hissed as a command to him. The light began to shine more and felt the vibration stronger. Ace's heart raced when he felt a stronger vibrate. With panic, he decided to help Kai, Zenil and Leonard remove the woods. Finally, they removed all the woods and revealed a small yellow crystal, shining stably and stopped their vibration after they released the woods around.

Zenil, Ace and Kai stayed silent, though Leonard just mewed at them loudly, just to make sure that they were back from their heads. Just for a few seconds, Kai took the crystal, disbelief in his eyes. "Is this the crystal?" Kai asked hesitantly. Zenil began to smile with satisfaction and nodded his head, "yellow crystal with orange shadows. This must be it!" He declared. Ace couldn't believe his eyes either and began to scream with excitement. "Goodness! We found it! The map is right after all! Kai's theory is correct. Ebonyfield was Kyler Woods' hometown! It might make sense since all the houses were destroyed and all," Ace said, jumping up and down with satisfaction. "Well then, let's inform the others about this," Kai proudly said, commended Leonard for informing Phina.

Leonard did what Kai told him to and began roaring so loud, louder than usual. Ace covered his sensitive ears, Kai tried to stay cool without covering his ears and Zenil just felt normal since he got used to this back then. Leonard's spots began to glow light orange as he kept on roaring. Soon, he stopped roaring and spread his wings, giving a sign that they would return by flying.

"Phina must have received his messages I assume," Ace whispered to both Zenil and Kai just as the three leaped on Leonard. "I am pretty sure," Kai replied, placing the crystal back to his pocket. From this, Leonard began to fly away from Ebonyfield with Zenil, Ace and Kai behind. "Would it be great that we found it already?" Zenil sighed in relief. "Those terrifying Likowns will be sealed in no time," he added. The three looked down as they passed the Kori Valley. The Likowns screeched and ran around the valley faster, Ace began to shake when he saw this. "Indeed terrifying," he murmured. Because of this, Leonard began to fly higher, making sure that the Likowns left cluelessly. Kai and Ace squeal in horror as they fly higher, of course, Zenil gets used to this high, thanks to his training back then with his wind.
