Chapter 8 - Hikaru

Just before Ace could explain, Nalia's cubetac seemed to attack him, even faster than the Likowns. Thankfully, Ace reacted quickly, swinging his swords to the following cubetacs. "Hey! Can I just explain for once!" Ace hissed, dodging all her attacks. She is very fast, really fast. Ace was too tired of her attacks, no use on dodging her cubes, though he can't get nearer since it's way faster than Likowns.

Just before the cubetac could punch Ace's face, it was blocked by some kind of shield. Without saying anything, it was Brooklyn who formed the shield. "Enough of this nonsense! We are not here to take any damage," cried Brooklyn, pushing back the cube to the girl. "Likely story! You fools are so clever to even make me believe what you said," Nalia snarled as she sent her magic to attack them even faster. Brooklyn tried her best to hold the damage using her shield. Kai knew that Brooklyn and Ace could not hold the attacks anymore, there he told Zenil that he would lure her.

By then, Kai wore his mask and called for Nalia, seeming to lure her to focus on him. Nalia did do that and Zenil was aiming for her, he took his arrow and aimed towards her. Nalia knew about this and decided to protect herself thanks to the technologies she had within her. The more she rages, the faster the attacks. She even made those cubes teleport random directions to the four, making them difficult to lure her focus. "There is no use! She is too fast and strong," Ace yelled as he swung his swords to the cubes.

Brooklyn knew and she raised her hand, "Everyone! Retreat!" She ordered, giving everyone a shield thanks to her sword. Everyone retreated back to their territory, however Nalia still followed them with anger. "Nalia! Please do stop! It's me, Ace Azuran!" Ace shouted as he protected his head with his arms. He could tell that she forgets about him. Soon, the four felt no magic within them as they ran, does that mean Nalia stop attacking them? The four stopped running and looked back at her, seeing a standing Nalia with a cubetac floating around her. She did stop attacking and crossed her arms, giving them a disgusted look.

"So, what are you all doing here? On my territory!" she snapped. "Answer me or else, you are not welcome here, even if you are my friend, Azuran!" She added, rather giving them a rude tone. The four remained silent for a while, they did not expect that Nalia would stop attacking them, she was very protective towards her territory. Impatiently, she controlled the cubetacs around her again as if they were ready to attack them. "I will count until three if you don't answer!" She commanded. "One.. Two..."

Just at the same time, called another voice behind Nalia, which made her stop controlling her cubetacs for attacking. "Nalia? What's going on?" A voice was heard. "Oh goodness, dearest cousin," Nalia replied hesitantly, the cubetacs were still roaming around her calmly. "These outsiders are trying to pass our territory! I would not let them for our safety," hissed Nalia, pointing to the four. Ace rather felt calm since she remembered him. Brooklyn, Zenil and Kai thanked him. Brooklyn still gave them shield just in case Nalia attacked them again. "Oh come on, cousin. They seem harmless," Her cousin murmured, looking at them. Nalia gave her a snarl and sighed, "Easy for you to say!" She huffed. Her cousin just let her do so and gaze at the four, preparing themselves, she looked back to irritable Nalia. "Say Lia, who are these people? Especially the boys," She asked.

Nalia didn't know what to say and just said whatever comes in her mind, "This red tomato boy is Ace Azuran, he is an old friend of mine back then on the Mystilan when I tried to look for some lilies for your sickness," she introduced them. Her cousin nodded slightly and greeted Brooklyn, "Don't worry, Rivena. I recognized you," she said, giving her a friendly smile. Brooklyn replied awkwardly and stayed next to Zenil, she was scared of Nalia's attacks. Thank goodness they were saved by her cousin. "How about you? The one with the white hair and orange hair?" Her cousin asked again, she never met them and seemed suspicious. "My name is Kai Stane and next to Rivena is Zenil Feathers, and you must be?" Kai introduced himself, pointing to Zenil next. He then tried to remember who her name is, however, the girl replied with a chuckle. "Nice to meet you, Stane and Feathers. My name is Custodia Hikaru, next to me is Nalia Hikaru, my cousin," Custodia introduced herself, tilting her head to irritable Nalia.
