Paradox

Chapter 8

We start the day pretty early, Aslan and Chef Jook are already cooking when I arrives. "Good morning, everyone." I said to them.

Today, I don't have any make up on me and I decide that I only wear a tracksuit and let my hair just like that. "Mila, hello...Did you have a good sleep ?" Chef Jook ask me.

I nodded my head, "How about you, chef ?" I ask him.

"Really good. I sleep like a baby last night." He said and laughing.

After I put my jacket on the sofa, I walk towards them. Aslan smile at me and asking me for a high five. I give him high five but he took my hand quickly. I look at him, "Good morning, my dear friend." He said to me.

"I should be suspicious since you're being this good." I said and stand beside him.

"Is there something I can help with?" I asked them

"Okay, that's wrap! Thank you so much Mila, and all of you guys for the hard work." The producer said and we can't help but clapping all together.

I feel so tired, I need time to sleep more. "Thank you, Mila. It's really nice to have you in here...please come again soon." said our producer.

I nodded my head, "I'm having a good time too." I said.

We talk some more before we're going to our own car. "They inviting you for dinner tonight." My manager told me.

I nodded my head, "What's next after this ? I'll come to the dinner too." I said.

"Next, photoshoot for Elle Magazine." My manager said and busy with his phone.

I look at my phone, there is messages from Aslan.

'Are you coming to our team's dinner ?'

' Yes. They're inviting me. Why ?'

'Come together with me.'

I look at my manager, "Uhm, I think I will drive by myself tonight..is it ok ?" I asked him.

My manager look at me, "Huh ?"

I clear my throat, "Uhm, for tonight's dinner with the team..I think I will go there by myself. You could go home early." I said to him.

"Did you drive there with someone ?" My manager ask me suspiciously.

"No...no, why you thinking like that ? I usually drive alone if there is dinner with the team." I said to him.

I haven't told my manager about me and Aslan who becoming a good friends now. I feel like, he doesn't need to know now. There is nothing happen between me and Aslan though, so I think he doesn't need to know about it.

"If you gojng on a date with someone, at least tell me about it..So I could prepare a statement incase we need it someday." He said to me.

My eyes got bulging at him, "Whay you are thinking like that ?" I asked him.

"I'm just saying, Mila." He said shrugging his shoulder.

"So you and Aslan seems going to a right direction." Leander said to me. After my photoshoot, he asked me if I could have a lunch with him.

I nodded my head, "I made a mistake this last five years..I don't know that he's been going through a nightmare too. He got accident and he can't perform with his bandmates like normally." I told him.

Leander nod his head, "But he grows his career though. He is a really good variety show artist.."

"Not good as you, I believe?" I ask Leander and raising my eyebrows.
