(18) Don't Want To Be Here

Two weeks later 

"Come over after school we need to talk." Victor said in a text. 

"Okay.." she replied 

She told Val during study hall that she had to go over to her house after school since they rode together in Val's car. When school was over they stopped by Taco Bell to grab something to eat before heading over to Victor's. 

When they walked in Victor was sitting in the kitchen with opened letters on the bar top. 

"Hey dad..you wanted to talk to me?" Mara said 

"Do you want to explain this to me? Why you have college acceptance letters from out of state colleges? Do you realize that tuition is expensive for out of state students." Victor said 

She looked down.

"Besides I thought you wanted to go to college with Vin." He said 

"I just don't want to be here anymore." She said 

"Yeah. You don't want to be here at the house and now you don't want to be here in Texas at all. Now I understand Darius hurt you first loves are always hard but Ciemara this isn't like you." Victor said 

Bucky was still in the living room listening. 

"Dad I just don't want to be here. I love you and I'm happy for you. But I just want some space." She said 

"I wish you would talk to me Mara. That's all I wanted to talk to you about." Victor said 

Val was still standing behind her. "Hey I'll be back by later to get you. I have plans with Steve." Val said 

"Okay." She said as she hugged her.

Val left and Victor went to his home office. Mara was making her way up stairs to her room. 

"Mara.." Bucky said as she walked by. 

She just ignored him he followed her. 

"Mara what is going on?" He said as she went into her room. 

"Not like you care." She said as she went to slam the door. 

He stopped her. "Mara seriously.." he said as he came in and shut the door quietly. 

"You don't care. You got what you wanted from me so why don't you go back to Marisol and leave me alone." She said 

Bucky swallowed back the lump. "Mara it wasn't like that I swear..I." He said 

"Yes it was. You and I slept together and then you blew me off." She said 

Bucky looked down. "I gave you something James. Something." She whispered 

"Mara..I." He whispered 

"Please go. I know you don't care cause if you did care you wouldn't have done what you did." She whispered as a tear rolled down her cheek. 

Bucky left her room he went to his room and packed a bag. He left and went to his dads house on his way there. He broke up with Marisol.
