He laid down on a giant leaf, staring at even more leaves above him. The tree was gigantic, and so was everything around it. As the young adult took his nap, insects bigger than humans flew around, snakes that could choke houses rattled. Yet in that jungle full of monsters, the one who was napping was by far the scariest.
His eyes snapped open as the leaf he lay on was cut in half, not falling, his eyes switching colors to green, he floated.
"It took you a while to get here." he grinned, running a hand through his wavy hair which fell to his neck.
"You look... younger than expected." A man spoke, flying around the wavy haired guy on a giant bird "So, tell me Ash, how are you the strongest and wisest creature on this earth, but still look younger than 20?"
"A magician never tells." Ash clapped his hands, his rings were now shining. He had 5 on his right hand, and one on his left. A necklace hung from his neck, and ear piercings shone in the darkness that the enormous trees provided.
The man and his bird now charged straight at Ash, and he responded only by putting his hand on his face.
One ring brightened more than the others, it was earthy in nature, wooden and green. Ash's eyes changed colors every moment, but settled on green as extreme wind started forming around him. The bird could not charge into that, instead, wings wavering, it had to land roughly on a nearby tree.
Ash did not give the man time to rest, he tapped one of his ear piercings and vanished. He appeared right in front of the man, a gladius in his hands. He went for a stab, yet the man had vambrace, armor that shielded his forearms, and blocked with it.
"Oh. a monster tamer, nice to meet you." Ash declared, before wind poured out of his legs and he flew out of the way as a giant frog landed on the branch. The frog was not alone, lizards watched as they climbed the trees, snakes were waiting for their moment.
"You are trapped. My birds are in the sky, the trees are dominated by my animals and the ground is filled with more monstrosities than you can imagine." The man spoke with certainty "I know the answer to the question I asked. You are not the wisest, you just happened to come across the items that made you this powerful."
Ash yawned, then he slowly descended to a branch, a giant snake waiting for him.
"You think luck gets you this far, old man? You're right, I'm not wise or strong, I'm just lucky. Lets see how far luck can get me." He landed, but the snake did not move, nor did any of the others.
"Attack him!" the man bellowed.
His eyes had settled on brown this time, and every animal in sight was trapped by newly grown branches. A storm formed above Ash, then flew into the sky, and all could be heard were the screams of birds.
"Oh but you see, monster tamer, bounty hunter, My magic is far greater than your tame beasts could ever touch." His eyes changed color once more, and a fiery orange pierced the man. Flames sputtered out of Ash's hand, and then it had caught on trees.
In seconds, a whole kilometer radius around him was on flames.
The man collapsed on his branch, stuck as the rest of the tree burned.
"Stop. Don't kill them all." He whispered, as Ash appeared in front of him, eyes of the universe staring down at him.
"Well. on one condition. I need you to send a message to your masters."
"Anything."
Ash smiled, eyes turning blue, and clouds formed above the jungle. They cried out tears which saved the living beings which did not burn already.
