The ruins of an ancient room stood in front of a man who scribbled in his notebook, and he was accompanied by another holding a camera.
"Where is it, Mr. Nathaniel?"
"It should be...' Nathaniel didn't as much look at the camera-man, but instead focused on the symbols on the walls. There were many, but most of them crippled due to age, leaving only the one in the middle.
Nathaniel closed his notebook when he saw the image that took the center place, an Egyptian eye which any expert would know to be the eye of Ra.
"Hello?? I am talking to you?" The camera-man whimpered in the background.
"Can you shut up for one moment, Chris?" Nathaniel ordered his partner.
He then moved towards the walls with the symbols, touching the eye of Ra.
The symbol shone, and the floor opened up like a trap door.
"How... is that possible? There is no way this can be opened by just one touch." Nathaniel took out his notebook and started writing the information he just gained, and proceeded to look down the hole that was created.
A tomb stood inside the hole.
"Chris. Quick! Take a picture."
"Uh, right."
Chris aimed his camera so carefully you would think he was using a gun, but right before he was going to click the trigger, the earth shook.
The picture ended up being blurry, which left Chris frustrated.
"What the hell, man."
"Wait. The tomb is shaking." Nathaniel hushed the camera-man.
The tomb's entrance collapsed, and something came out.
The traditional Egyptian wraps surrounded the man, yet that was not the reason Chris screamed.
The face of the mummy was not normal, in fact, it was the face of a Hawk.
"You... can't be him" Nathaniel's eyes widened, and he looked beside him at Chris who was similarly frozen.
"We leave, now!" He ordered.
The mysterious man looked down at his arms to find a crook and flail, and the hawk's expression changed, almost a grin.
"It seems I am back." He stayed standing, and looked up to the ceiling of his deathbed.
The pair had already run by now, and once they were out of the place, Chris looked at Nathaniel for Elaboration.
"That was... if I'm not mistaken, Ra. The Egyptian god of the sun."
"That's crazy."
The two were surrounded by the deserts of Egypt, and the sun grew hotter than it has in centuries. They've just seen a man walk out of a tomb that's more than a thousand years old with a hawk head. That's crazy.
Nathaniel looked back at the historic site "Maybe we should contact someone about this."
Chris snapped back "and you think anyone will believe us?"
The site glittered with flames for one second, and they were gone the next.
"Did you see that?" Nathaniel had seen flames, but they disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
"See what?" The camera man questioned.
And they reappeared, stronger and faster than before.
Fire Engulfed the site, and what stood in the middle of it was more than just some undead monster.
Ra was back.
Nathaniel's breathing grew heavier as everything around him became more hot, he shoved Chris beside him towards their car.
"GO! NOW!"
The two ran, getting into the car the fastest they can.
With a little relief, Chris tapped the accelerator and they fled.
"Call help! A helicopter could prove useful, I'm not staying anywhere near that... thing" Chris said.
"What's your phone's password?" Nathaniel asked.
"125674."
"Can you repeat that?"
"Are you kidding me right now? 125674."
"Alright," Nathaniel pressed the numbers into the phone "Hello, This is Nathaniel, The archaeologist! And we need help! Right now!"
He listened for a few seconds, then dropped the phone.
"Hey! What happened?" Chris demanded answers.
"They can't help us. He told me to open their broadcast."
"Open a broadcast, when we are almost dying? I swear I will give him hell once I get back, he'll lose his jo-"
Chris was interrupted by the video playing, and it was of a red-headed Viking looking man standing on top of a large elk statue. He carried a Hammer and aimed it at the sky.
"What is this maniac doing?" Chris asked, before reading the news written at the bottom of the screen.
"Freak with lightning power terrorizes Scandinavia? What is this, some sort of joke?"
The hammer sparkled with lightning which launched into the sky, and what followed it was thunder in the sky.
Lightning fell down from the clouds, destroying all the surroundings, including the camera from which the video was being taken.
"This is ...insane." Nathaniel could not find better words for this situation.
"What is this exactly?"
"I think that was Thor."
"What, like from the marvel movies?"
"No. The real one."
Another video played, switching the scene to the beautiful seas of Greece, which have shifted from their peaceful grace to a hell filled with storms.
At the center of those storms stood a man holding his trident high above him.
Nathaniel sighed, he had no way to understand this in a way that was logical.
"This can only mean one thing, Chris."
"This can't mean anything! It's just a horrible dream."
"The gods are back, and they're going on a rampage.
