I woke up to a bright light, my eyes burned and I closed them moaning in pain of my left arm. The light shut off and I looked around seeing a woman "Hello sweety, how are you feeling?" She smiled at me with a warm smile, she cared or so it looked that way. "Okay but my arm it hurts" I say "yeah honey it will for a little bit but it should heal quickly" she smiles walking away when I stopped her "Others didn't come through did they?" I ask her "Others were supposed to come through?" She asked worried and I nodded "How many!?" She asked scared "4 three teen males and my 10 year old sister" I say to her.
I layed in the bed with no one around around when Men ran in and I got scared sitting up with fear in my eyes "The beds are prepared bring them in!" One shouts "Bring who in!?" I ask them "Don't worry girl" he says as anger builds up inside me. I saw them bring in a stretcher with a boy on it and three others walked in with cute and bruises it was them.
"Ricky!" I shout getting out of bed and running to her before hugging her "Oh my god Raven" she shouts hugging me back. I hug Ezra and Malakai after "Where's Simon?" I ask them "He listened to you, he wanted to protect us and he got attacked, he was attacked by dinosaurs" Ezra says sadly pointing to the boy who I hadn't realised was Simon.
I ran to his side as tears flowed down my cheeks "Simon please never listen to me again" I say laughing through tears holding his hand "He will be fine a few stitches and medication" the lady before said "Thank you... um" I say wondering her name "Lia, Doctor Reyes" she smiled at me.
"Now children I need you to come with me to our Head" she said and we listened. We walked out of the hospital to see people happily running around having fun, food stores, towers a wall with guards it was amazing "what is this place?" Ricky asked "you don't know?" The lady asked us and we shook our heads.
She led us to a tower, it was fairly big and had a staircase leading to the second floor and we followed those. She knocked on the door and a woman answered, she looked down at us surprised I looked into her eyes stepping back as Malakai grabbing my waist to stop me falling "Mrs Skye?" Ezra asked.

I hadn't spoken a word since entering the home, the lady left and we sat on a couch my mother in front of me "Why are you children here?" She asked us "Ask your husband" I say to her and she looks confused "why is that Raven?" She asked sadly "When you left us he became horrible, he beat me and Ricky mum!" I shout at her and she lowers her head "why'd you leave?" I asked her tears threatening to fall "I had no choice Raven please just understand" she said "But I don't understand I protected your daughter from your husband, I needed you, we needed you!" I shout at her "These people needed me more!" She shouted back and I walked backwards scared and tears fell, I felt arms wrap around my waist and I turned and cried into the chest of the person as they held me close to them.
"Look Raven I'm so sorry, I love you and I didn't want to leave you but they would have killed you both" she said trying to comfort me "Death would have been better if only you had a heart Miriam" I state at her. I pull away to see the person who's been holding me is Kai and I smile at him before walking out.
