Wonder

Chapter 6

We arrived at the beach, the day was beautiful and fantastic for a swim. We sat down in the sand, putting our towels down and the umbrella. Mike and Clara, sat there sunbathing while chatting between them. Taylor and Lauren were playing with the sand, while Chris and I played soccer not so much far away from them.

"You play good" Chris compliment me. "I guess my dad's class helped with that" I said while kicking the ball at him. "Your dad taught you?" He asked. I nodded my head. "When I was younger, and my dad was off work. We used to go to the park and train there. It was the only time of the day, I got to spend it with my father. I could say no, so I learned how to play just for him. But deep down, I loved those days" I commented. Chris smiled at me with a soft smile. "Come here" He said opening his arms for a hug. I allowed it and hugged him back. "Thank you" I muttered. He kissed me on top of my head. "It's nothing. I'm glad you told me" He said to me. I backed up a little bit, sending him a grateful smile. For, not entering more into the topic of my father.

"Hey lovebirds" Taylor shouted. "Let's get into the water" She said coming our way. When she was next to us, I raced both of them towards the water. Me and Chris arriving at the same time.

"That's not fair" I said splashing him water. He laughed at my comment. Splashing me with some water as well. "Where's Lauren?" I asked Taylor. She looked at me. "She is with our parents sunbathing" She told me. I nodded my head. "Okay, wait here. I will get her".

"Good luck with that" Taylor and Chris said at the same time. I started walking towards her, spotting Lauren with her eyes closed.

"Hey there stranger" I said. Lauren opened her eyes, looking at me. "Aren't you going to come with us?" I asked. "Mm no, I'm good here".

"You will get sunburned if you don't move, dear" I said, giving her my hand to help her stand up. She rolled her eyes. Taking my hand and standing up. I couldn't help myself and run my eyes over her body. 

"Eyes up here Y/N" Lauren said teasing me. I gulp. Lauren let out a laugh, shaking her head. I quirk an eyebrow, towards her. "You are going to regret that" I said.

Without warning I picked her up placing her on my shoulder and running towards the water.

"Y/N NO" She shouts. "Too late for that" I said hitting the water and throwing her with me.

I submerged underwater enjoying the cold water around me. I opened my eyes when I hit the surface, my eyes meeting green eyes. I shoot her an innocent smile backing up slowly. Lauren glared at me, splashing me with water. "I hate you" she pouted. I laughed rolling my eyes "That's the second time you say that, dear". 

She pouted, even more, making me melt. "What?" I said. "You are so mean with me" She said pouting. I rolled my eyes and swam towards her. Pulling her body softly against mines. She put her legs around my waist for support, while I hold her in my arms. "Stop pouting, it's not fair" I whispered. "It's making me soft" I add. Lauren smiled. "That's the purpose" She said sticking her tongue out. "Whatever" I rolled my eyes.  Letting her go. 

Lauren then splashed me with water out of nowhere.  "Hey! That's not fair" I said splashing her with some as well. We continued laughing and splashing water until we grow tired. I looked at her admiring her. She looks so beautiful and peaceful with the sun on her face. 

"Y/N?" She asked me. "Hmm?" I looked at her. She smiled softly at me. "I see that that is a common thing of you, to get lost in your thoughts". My eyes widened. "I didn't mean to" I said blushing. Lauren tilted her head to the side. "What were you thinking about?" She asked with a curious look. "Nothing" I said quickly, blushing.

"Lauren! Y/N!" We heard Taylor shout. "Come here!" She adds. I looked at Lauren and started swimming towards them. "What's up?" I said when I arrived. "So, Chris and I were thinking to play a game" I nodded. "Basically, I get into Chris shoulders and Lauren in yours and we fight till the other one fall" She said. I nodded my head again. "Okay, I'm in. Lauren?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "Sounds fun" She said.

I get underwater between Laurens's legs grabbing her thighs to make sure she doesn't fall. And got up with Lauren sitting down on my shoulders. Chris doing the same with Taylor. When we both were ready we started the fight. "You got this Lauren!" I exclaimed having a firm grip with my legs. We kept fighting until Lauren pushed Taylor making Chris lose balance and both of them fall into the water. "Yes!" Lauren exclaimed. Then Taylor got up pushing me, making me fall with Lauren above me. "Hey! That's cheating" Lauren said. Chris and Taylor were laughing, and I couldn't help but join.

"Don't worry Lauren, we won" I said smirking. "We make a good team" She said giving hive five. "Indeed we do" I said chuckling. "Let's go I'm starving" I said exiting the water, making my way towards Mike and Clara. The three of them following behind me.
