Chapter 8

'Y/N let's go' my little brother yelled my name. Running across the park, towards our dad was waiting for us.

'Wait for me you little piece of shit' I yelled running behind him. I saw my dad, with a small on his lips watching us.

We run towards our dad, jumping into his arms when we approach him. 'I won' my brother say excited. I rolled my eyes 'I let you win, there's a difference' I said messing with his hair.

'Common double trouble' My dad's voice was heard. 'I cooked some pasta' He said with a proud smile. I smirked, knowing how bad my dad's cooking is. 'I'm surprised that you managed to cook some pasta without burning it'.

'Well, the tutorials from YouTube are helpful' He said. I laughed at that, shaking my head. He nudged my shoulder.

'Dad! Dad!' My brother called my dad. 'Piggy bag please' He said jumping into my father's back. We continued walking, when I noticed that I forgot my bag at the park.

'Hey dad, I'm going to the park I forgot my bag there, see you in a minute!' I exclaimed running towards the park. I arrived at the park searching with my eyes my bag, seeing that it was next to the tree.

I got my back searching that I had everything inside, and putting it on my back. Walking towards my house I notice two police cars passing next to me and an ambulance following behind. Weird, I thought.

I continued walking, being a few minutes away from the house. Seeing the vehicles in front of my house. My eyes widened, as my heartbeat started to increase. I run towards the front door, seeing a police officer pulling a cord in the scene.

'You can't be here kid' The policeman said to me. 'I live here' I said with full panic and concern in my voice. 'Where's my dad, my brother!?' I shouted. The policeman was holding me, when I saw in the floor two bodies and an white blanket on top of them. 'NOOO!!' I cried falling on my knees, my vision getting clouded by my tears. I started to feel dizzy as I cried looking at the dead bodies of my father and my brother.

'Hold her!! And take it her away from here' I heard some voices talking before everything went black.

"Y/N, wake up" I heard a voice next to me. I jolted from the bed, with tears in my eyes as my chest went up and down in a rapid speed.

"Y/N, you are safe, I'm here" Lauren's voice calmed me. I make eye contact with her for a few seconds, before nodding my head. I let out a shaky breath, calming myself down.

"Shh I'm here, I'm not going anywhere" She reassured me, tracing my back with her hand gently. I closed my eyes, letting my back fall on the bed. I didn't mutter a word. I could feel Lauren's eyes on me.

"Lauren" I whispered softly. "Can you hold me?" I asked slightly scared of her answer. Lauren nodded her head, opening her arms. I crawled to her arms, placing my head in her chest. I closed my eyes, letting myself calm in the embrace of Lauren. I noticed that she started to caress my hair, and humming softly before I falling asleep.

The next morning, I woke up with Lauren curled up by my side playing with my hair. "Morning" I whisper, looking at her with sleepy eyes. She let out a chuckle, "Good morning, how are you feeling?" She asked with a flash of concern. I nodded my head, and let out a murmur closing my eyes.

"Hey! I can't let you sleep, we are moving to my house in a few" She says nudging me. I groaned while opening one single eye "I'm comfy" I murmured.

"You have 15 minutes to get ready" Lauren says standing up and exiting the room. I groaned while standing up as well and throwing myself towards the shower. I finished packing all my stuff and went downstairs to meet with Lauren. I saw Clara next to her, cooking some lunch. I went towards her, and placed a kiss on her check "Morning Clara" I said picking a coffee mug.

"Suit yourself, mija" Clara says laughing, I blushed. "I really need this" I said signaling at the coffee inside the mug. Lauren looked at me, glaring playfully.

"Let's go Y/N" She said with her arms closed, I nodded my head finishing my coffee. Lauren shock her head, coming towards me and drawing me outside the house. "Love you Clara!! Thank you for everything" I shout.

I glared at Lauren, "What that necessary?" I asked. She nodded her head, I rolled my eyes at her. "Okay, okay it wasn't, but I really wanted for you to see my house and to settle in" She said with a pout.

"What are you waiting for? Chop chop" I said with a smile. Lauren smiled widely dragging me towards the car and driving off.
