In a world, where you start seing colour upon having a special moment with your soulmate/s (platonic, or romantic)
But what happens, when three marauders start seing colours, yet one doesnt but keeps it a secret.
A couple months had passed. The Marauders were an inseparable group and everyone knew about them. Their pranks had only grown more elaborate and complex, to the point where most professors were astonished as to how they had managed to get it to work.
Remus and Peter had grown very close to Lily. They often sat in the common room reading books or studying together. (They wanted to go to the library, but Severus would interfere there, and Lily wanted to avoid her friends fighting with her best friend, even if they couldn't stand each other.)
James kept trying to get either Remus or Peter to talk well about him, when they hung out Lily.. Desperate to get the girl to like him.
James and Sirius were out, flying most of the time when the boys weren't planning a prank.
It was currently the second of november and three of the four marauders were sitting in their dorm room laughing.
Remus being the absent one.
This was now the third night that he had randomly disappeared.
"It's weird isn't it, that Remus just disappears like this and it's always the beginning of the month too." James said, once the laughter had died down. "Yeah, if he wasn't so kind I'd half expect him to be a werewolf. It's always full moon when he goes." Sirius said, more joking than not. He knew that it was full moon when Remus disappeared, because he often found himself staring at the night sky. He adored watching the stars. He had always done it with his little brother at home and it was some of the nicest memories he had.
"Honestly Sirius," Peter spoke up, "you may have a point. He often reads books about magical creatures and takes notes, yet he never shows them to Lily or me."
"It'd explain his scars. Have you seen him when he gets changed?" James added.
If James hadn't been pining over Lily since he first laid eyes on her, the other boys would have definitely teased him for that sentence. Sirius couldn't help and give him a look.
"Let's skip classes tomorrow and find Remus and confront him." Sirius spoke.
And with that note they went to bed.

...the next morning...
James, Sirius and Peter decided to skip classes today and find Remus.
They were wondering through the halls, looking into empty classrooms and storage closets. "We ought to check the hospital wing." Sirius said, "if his scars really are from him being a werewolf, then wouldn't he be in the hospital wing?" He looked around and his voice grew more quiet as he mentioned the werewolf part.
James and Peter agreed and the three boys quickly rushed to the hospital wing.
They burst into the room, without knocking.
"Remus?" Peter exclaimed rather loudly. "Shush boys." Madam Pomfrey said in a sharp tone. "Did no one ever teach you to knock?" "Is Remus Lupin here?" James said, ignoring the nurses question. "He is, but he's sleeping, you best leave him al-" "I'm awake Madam Pomfrey" Remus' rough voice interrupted her. "Oh, well then. Just be easy on him." Pomfrey said as she walked to her office to do whatever nurses did.
